I’m always on the lookout for a good pasta and decided to make a booking here because it was nearest to my accommodation (visiting from Melbourne). I had no expectations but came out 100% satisfied. The service was great from when I made the booking over the phone. I asked if high chairs were available because I was traveling with an infant. When I arrived the table was reserved with the high chair already set up in place. The place was booked out to capacity but the staff were still quick to respond and provided water immediately and shortly came back to take the order. The food didn’t take long to come out. We ordered the bruschetta con I funghi, carbonara and Gnocchi al ragu Di agnello. The food was great and hit the spot. If you are a pasta lover, you need to give this place a try....

I make this dish myself, never without cream. I decided to follow the young lady's advice and was rewarded with the best carbonara I have ever eaten. The service was knowledgable and very prompt. The Italian wine we ordered was perfect. The ambience fitted with the 1965 opening declared on the menu. We could have been in Florence or Venice. Read moreWow. Just wow. We popped in here as our hotel was close by and were blown away. The service was warm but never overbearing. They were so intuitive they popped by when we needed - it was just seamless.
As other reviews have mentioned the sticky fig was outstanding! The sauce was light and slowly soaked into the cake. Was heavenly. Wine was great and garlic bread too. Great portions for everything.
Had the scallop pasta and eye fillet. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The steak was perfectly medium rare and the mash was soooo tasty - salty, creamy, dense and stayed really hot the whole way through.
I wish they were open tonight as we would have come back for more but sadly they are closed and we leave Hobart tomorrow. We will definitely be back the next...
