The outside view is lovely, pathways are upgraded and clean with a sleek and modern design. Really elevates Ipswich CBD. The Library is modern and clean, well equipped, very friendly staff who are happy to help. Need to register you're there by QR code or see a staff member. The rooms you can book are great, with charging ports in the table, flat screen tv, whiteboard - but take a jacket as the aircon in the rooms can get very cold!! Has one 'silent' booth with soundproofing which can fit two people, but due to Covid-19 only one person allowed in there. Has open booths (with views outside) along one side of the library, with charging ports in the tables. Nice restful atmosphere. Look forward to seeing the dedicated children's library when it opens!! Update 16-08-2021 Behind the lifts to the library the precinct has a fun water feature that doubles as a kids splash 'n' play, and also free large change room and toilet facilities. The precinct has a food area with tables/chairs and sun umbrellas, two food vans and a coffee van. Really nice to relax and have a snack.

A brilliant new facility, large and spacious state of the art building. Areas are clearly defined, work and reading nooks, meeting rooms, training room, free computers for those that don't have access to computers or software. Free WiFi, endless resources for all levels. Complete disability access, free parking below for the first 3 hours. The library offers talks and free community interest workshops all free with you're library membership. This is the gold standard of a community library.

I love this library. The staff are welcoming and helpful. I’ve mainly dealt with the staff in the maker space and all have been really nice and say hi if they see me studying. I don’t know why people have been saying it’s noisy as it’s never noisy when I go. But I often go during the week before school finishes for the day so maybe it’s just the time of day I go. I’ve also found it very simple to request certain books if they don’t have them available and when I learn more languages I’m sure they’ll be able to order in requested books in those languages as they’ve gotten in a number of books I’ve requested before as well as manga. Also coming to this library has helped me concentrate more on my study and stops me from procrastinating and getting distracted. I really enjoy this library as it’s close to cafes and restaurants, a chemist, quirky stores, my art classes studio and is only across the river from my home. I have a disability and being able to access this library without having to get a taxi has been wonderful as I come via riverlink on my power chair. It’s given me much more motivation in my studies and improved my mental health to be able to access a library without having to rely on someone to get me there giving me more independence in my life and for that...

A great variety of books, but less older ones. Plenty of hard-copy (disc) audio and video options to borrow, too. If you're okay with electronic copies, and don't want to go to the library on person, you can do just one visit to prove your identity, then access ebooks, audio books, video content, and more, using your library login in associated Web sites or apps. It's worth the trip though, as it's a lovely public space with great facilities. There's a Virtual Reality setup so you can go to the moon, or Burning Man, whatever floats your boat. 3D printing workspace and demo's and tech set-up. Plenty to entertain here, and if not, there's always the kids' library across the mall and the waterfall style fountain for a wake-up call ☔️. Located a short pleasant walk from Riverlink, across a footbridge, or from Central station - even closer. Keep your Gelatissimo member card in the same wallet as your library card. It's in plain view across the mall. Reliable, quality sushi and other snackage readily available within 50m. A variety of sculptural features are positioned around the mall/ outdoor...
