My partner and I just travelled onboard 707 Operations (aka Slow Rail Journeys) "The Grainlander" to Wycheproof and Sea Lake this weekend. This was our first time travelling on a Slow Rail Journey of this length and scale. The whole experience was run to a world class standard of travel. All staff operating these trains are volunteers, and they are all so helpful and professional in what they do. These trips include all meals cooked and served onboard the train (the quality of the food is exceptional and delicious), side tours to local attractions, such as silo art tours, paddleboat rides, hotel dining, etc. As ours was in the wheat belt Mallee region, our side tours were to the silo art and Lake Tyrell in Sea Lake. The team also communicates every day of the tour via text messages, keeping guests in the loop about arrival and departure times, side tour information, etc. A variety of different accommodation options are available onboard the train, depending on your level of comfort and needs. Showers and toilets are also located in the carriages, either in the cabin, or at the end of the carriage. Overall just a brilliant experience if you love train travel and exploring regional Victoria. We will definitely be back on one of their tours again. Highly recommend them.

Amazing, so much fun, beautiful steam trains, the nicest group of people, all volunteers all working so hard and doing their best to make everyone happy. I went and saw the Elvis in Bendigo show and it was an incredible day. Let the professionals do all of the long driving for you, and the lovely onboard Cafe staff tickle your taste buds with all the lovely food, coffee and cocktails etc. all at excellent prices. A beautiful train, filled with fun and history, amazing friendly atmosphere and attention to detail. I definitely recommend 707 Operations and will definitely be back. Thank you all for a...

My partner and I recently travelled on The Grainlander from Southern Cross Station to Wycheproof and Sealake. From the moment we entered the Savoy Hotel for bon voyage dinner. We were really well looked after. The tour organisation, food and drinks onboard were perfect. The off train experiences were amazing. Anyone who's thinking of doing a Slow Rail Journey with 707 Operations, do it. You won't regret it. We will definitely be doing another Slow Rail...
