The Queen Victoria Memorial is situated at the highest point within the Queen Victoria Gardens. It is the work of sculptor James White and was unveiled in 1907.

What you see is a regal depiction of Queen Victoria (1819-1901). Her Majesty is crowned and holding a scepter and orb, standing upon a dome of an emblematic, four sided plinth lined with columns and topped with outward facing lions. Each side includes a niche occupied by a female statue representing the four virtues of Wisdom, Progress, History and Justice.
