I visited the Food Market today and was shocked by how poorly I was treated. I entered with my dog and politely asked if we could come in. Instead of a reasonable response, an employee rudely waved us off, making a dismissive hand gesture as if my dog was diseased.

This level of disrespect is unacceptable. It’s one thing to enforce rules, but it’s another to treat customers—and their pets—with such rudeness. Horrible communication and professionalism from a business that serves the public.

If pets are not allowed, that’s fine—but it should be handled with kindness, not condescension.

I love this place. As soon as you walk in you start to smile at the beautiful displays of fruit, cakes, vegetables etc. It's got loads of boutique foods and brands which you don't find easily in Perth. Has a good selection of 'ready to go" dinners which is super handy after a long day at work when you don't want to cook. I always go there to get my super yummy "Hogan's Roasted Chilli Sambal flakes" which is the best I've found for adding delicious heat to any meal and is produced here in W.A.
