Lamkin Lane Espresso Bar — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

Situated on such a cute lane! There are plenty of options in Caloundra for breakfast but if you HAVE to pick one, this one is a no-brainer.

Coffee is genuinely great, solid flavours and smooth. Food was just as impressive- we were pleasantly surprised by how large the servings were for menu items that are only what- $15-20? On the Gold Coast where we’re from, cafes would be charging easily $10 extra of what they charge for food that is nowhere near as creative.

It’s obvious that the chef has a lot of passion towards creating every dish, not only is the presentation outstanding but the flavours considered work deliciously together. We noticed that a lot of Asian fusion flavours were beautifully worked into the menu.

Also worth mentioning is that they had a good selection of sweets at the front- croissants, tarts, cookies, etc it all looked REALLY good. Had we not already stopped by the pastry lab (AMAZING croissants FYI), I would have tried some here.

Definitely my cafe of choice in Caloundra for our next holiday...

I never really leave reviews on places because they don’t really exceed my expectations. However, not only does Lamkin Lanes coffee never disappoint it absolutely always hits the spot and I am a very picky coffee drinker so this says a lot. Their atmosphere is fabulous, staff are amazing especially the girl with beautiful curly hair. This morning I got a coffee and a toastie (ham&cheese) and as always the coffee was phenomenal but this toastie I got was hands down without any exaggeration the absolute best toastie I have ever had in my life. The cheese was not only delicious but perfectly melted, the toast was perfectly crispy with the exact right amount of butter needed and don’t even get me started on the sauce that was on it, some kind of relish it was incredible. If I could give this place 10 stars I would, it’s such a beautiful shop, super clean and just overall a really amazing cafe couldn’t recommend more....

We visited here a few weeks ago and the breakfast was excellent - hot, fresh, yummy. Called in again Saturday again for breakfast as our last visit so so good - BUT bitterly disappointed this time. Coffees came out quick, but immediately we thought there was something not right with them (just tasted bad) so returned them with our feedback. Coffees were remade and came out shortly after - again they tasted really dodgy (like the milk was off) and as such we didn’t drink them. Bacon and scrambled eggs x 2 arrived, and were really disappointing compared to last visit - everything very fatty/oily and although it was edible it was definitely disappointing.
