Checked into the Caloundra Hotel with expectations as high as the Aussie sun in the middle of January, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, it was like stepping into an episode of 'Cheers' - where everybody might not know your name, but they're too charmingly Australian to care. The locals? A delightful cast of characters, dishing out one-liners so wicked, you'd think they were auditioning for a comedy special. And if laughter is the best medicine, these folks are the cure to whatever ails you. Now, let's talk food - specifically, the buffalo wings. Holy smokes, these weren't just wings; they were a religious experience. Our tastebuds took off on a flavour journey so intense, we morphed into human waterfalls. If tears of joy had a taste, it would be these buffalo wings. And the staff? Nothing short of fantastic. They navigated our hungover, hair-of-the-dog-seeking selves with the skill of a seasoned captain steering through the Great Barrier Reef. Their service wasn't just service; it was an embrace from an old friend you didn't know you had.In short, the Caloundra Hotel isn't just a place to hang your hat; it's a destination. Whether you're here to tie the knot or just to unwind, this gem guarantees good vibes, great laughs, and grub that'll have you plotting your return before you've even left. Five stars? More like a whole...

What an amazing night last night. The best meet-up in three seasons of the Calamari Club. Great turnout, amazing food, and fundraising was off the chart.

A massive shout out to the CBX Hotel Caloundra for putting on such an amazing event. Your hospitality was outstanding. A massive thank you for the donation of the cash to the men's charity and of course the 10 Toes Brewery goodie bag for our raffle. The hotel patrons also got involved in the raffle raising over $120 for this charity. A big congrats to Scott aka Wayne Bennett for taking home the prize.

The food was amazing. It just kept coming out. Dips and breads, salads, chips, wedges, and more calamari platters than we thought possible. Amazing. s

So a 10/10 night, the first for any venue we have visited. There have been suggestions that we have found our spiritual home and perhaps make it our regular with only quarterly visits to other venues. But one thing is certain, we have big plans ahead for the club with quarterly guest speaker events and bigger fundraising opportunities.

Remember, like, share and comment on this, get your friends along and let's grow this club and make a massive impact for...

1st review, but felt the need after visiting for lunch. Whilst our food was cooking I noticed the chef handling the food, he grabbed steak from fridge and threw it on the plate with his hands, wiping hands on shirt, flip steaks with hands, grab other food put on grill, toss chips by hand, touch cooked steaks tenderness, again smearing his hands on his shirt everytime. My gf notified the waitress (unsure of name but she's the stocky one) as it seemed odd, she was extremely rude, told us the chefs were highly trained professionals and know what they're doing. I understand this but there a more hygienic ways of going about it, my gf also is coeliac so need to be careful of contamination. We spent the next 15 min. eating whilst the chef, waitress and manager stood around glaring at us occasionally and talking. Very uncomfortable, originally intended to stay for a few drinks, but couldn't wait to get out of there. Awful experience, extremely unprofessional, overpriced (RSL up the hill much better) Definitely...

Was me and a lot of other locals favourite for over 30 years until recently new management has completely destroyed that and im certain that aussies are no longer welcome the new staff are rude and malicious and come to the door and say they’re closed if they don’t like you and they find a microscopic mark on a license they won’t let you in they stare at you in the gaming room and make your skin crawl there’s a total clinical unwelcome feeling and a almost jail or police watch house atmosphere and if they don’t like a particular punter they secretly call the police and you get raped upon returning to your vehicle to leave by the local cops and all I can say is farewell Caloundra hotel i think your spirit has gone now and all that’s left is a carcass full of parasites and worms in your decaying corpse I’ll miss the cbx had so many good times there and memories I hate the way Australia has turned out and am no longer proud to live here and definitely don’t feel home anymore

This an e-mail I sent to the hotel on the 10th July 25 and never got a response. Hello, I dined at the Caloundra Hotel last night and had the Pork Belly with Asian Greens, rice and a chilli sauce and it was disgusting. The miniscule piece that I did receive was either over cooked or reheated numerous times.  It was dry, stringy and the bottom of the pork was almost a jerky texture that I could just cut.  Absolutely horrible. Yes I did eat it and no I didn't bring it to the staff's attention as we were in a hurry but I regret not doing so as soon as I cut ( or tried to ) into it. I have attached a copy of the bill and a photo of the meal . I'm bringing this to your attention as if this is standard of meals the kitchen serves,  you need a new cook. Looking forward to your response ?.

What a "food feast" was awaiting for those who booked a table for the Christmas Day Buffet lunch. There was a wide range of food to select from the menu including amazing seafood and the food was cooked to perfection and the buffet warmers were never empty as the hot food kept on coming. To complete the buffet there was a delicious dessert menu as well. And what can I say about the staff, they were incredibly friendly and attentive. Thank you so very much for the fabulous job you did to make our Christmas Day special while we were on holidays and away from our families.
