Love the dog friendly trial. It was a new experience getting to shop with my girl and because we were just visiting Sydney from Canberra, being able to bring my dog made it very convenient as we could not have left her in the hotel on her own (it is against most hotel policies). The only things I found tricky was the lack of signage about where the stairs were as pet owners were advised not to use the lifts and escalators (which is understandable). It's also up to the store to give permission to allow dogs in however it would be nice if the stores put a sign out the front to say whether they do or don't, or even if they prefer for it to be on request, as sometimes the staff are busy and it makes it awkward to ask at every store. It made sense to us to avoid crowded or smaller stores. I can imagine not all dogs might enjoy the crowds so definitely something better suited to well behaved companion dogs who are patient and calm. I have two dogs but I could not see my younger and more energetic one enjoying it as much. Something for pet owners to consider before bringing them along.

This is certainly a strange place for a mall. Because if you keep on driving like 10 minutes in either direction, you get... Another mall... I get the feeling that Amazon is going to come along and turn the whole thing into a factory where shipping containers come in and drones fly out. This would be a perfect location for that because people in the inner west are rich and lazy. So lazy that they had to build a shopping mall within walking distance. But this place is not that easy to walk too, you're going to drive there because you don't own a 10 million dollar house in Birkenhead point. Also I got some noodles from some Asian place, and I didn't know what I wanted but I knew I was hungry. So the nice lady sucked out the words from me which ended up being an order. This made my partner annoyed because they didn't have vegetarian dumplings and 90% of stores were closed for the day. The shopping mall is very well lit due to the glass ceiling. If there is heavy hail, many people will die in this mall.

A large outlet mall filled with natural light and cafes to make for a fun afternoon out. ποΈ It's called an outlet mall, but the mall is a mix of true 'outlet' shops (selling last season's goods at a steep discount) and regular shops. There are two halves, which only kinda connect, so it can get confusing. β You're never far from a cafe. There's Pier 8 on the lowest level, the Lindt shop does coffees, and Milligram on the top floor. π Check the calendar for special events. There's often something on for Christmas, Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, etc. π΄ The food court is on the lowest level (old building), and has outdoor seating over the water when the weather is nice. π Lots of parking, gets crowded on weekends. Head there early or just be ready to drive around a bit. Parking is free for the first 2 hours. π Bus route along Victoria Rd. (Easy walking distance). Check current timetables. No train service.

Birkenhead Point is Sydney's largest brand outlet, located only six kilometres from the CBD on Sydney Harbour. It is one of the only destinations in Sydney where you can shop at over 130 premium outlet brands and dine at the waters edge whilst enjoying the spectacular harbour views in an open-air shopping environment. The precinct includes Australian Designers Anna Thomas, Sass and Bide, Ginger and Smart, UGG, Country Road, Peter Alexander, Peter's of Kensington, and International designers Armani, Bally, Calvin Klein, Coach, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike plus many more. Getting there is easy. If driving to the centre, enjoy three hours free parking whilst you shop. Alternatively, Birkenhead Point is accessible by public transport including buses and taxi/ride-share from across Sydney. Birkenhead Point Brand Outlet is open and supporting the community with Covid Safe practices and innovations.

I dont enjoy the brand outlets as I'm not a shopper as far as buying for a bargain. Getting that out of the way I can only say apart from the supermarkets, two dollar shop and fruit and vege on the bottom level which is more usefull. I found out finding a bargain is a hit and miss type of thing at Birkenhead sometimes if your lucky they do have them other times not really.A lot of Asians seem to enjoy this shopping experience. To there, get on the 501 bus every weekend and Thursday I don't know why Asians like this place so much, it's got me beat. I went back to Birkenhead post Christmas sales were on some of the shops were giving 50% off so if these prices were right I saved $150 on Lee Jean's and shirts. I recommend to try them on for fit before you buy them look closely at the tag. You will probably find something worth buying.
