LOTS TO EAT AT @birkenheadpoint

Birkenhead Point Outlet Drummoyne

Birkenhead Point is my favorite place in Sydney for outlet shopping, partly because of the beautiful water views, partly because of the Nike outlet store and their 40% off storewide days (IYKYK) ) and all of the other great shopping deals you'll find here, and also now partly because of the food! After visiting Gozleme Turkish House and trying Rukiye's incredible food there not long ago, I'm back at Birkenhead to try another great spot!

How often do you find a whole Chinese restaurant in a shopping center? Let alone one that hasn't been known for their food in the past. Panda@ is on the ground floor, a short walk from the main food court. You'll walk past it if you're not looking. Classic great signs you'll see - an aunty making fresh dumplings at the window and an uncle dressed in casual clothes running the wok. Their menu's a mix of dumplings, noodles and stir-fry.

The most impressive dish here was the pickled mustard greens and fish soup. I believe it's Sichuan-style and they use mackerel. The soup came out on a colossal bowl at a very reasonable $31. It's not a soup you see often at these sorts of non-flashy Chinese restaurants in Sydney but it's very tasty if you feel like adventuring away from your regular order. They also do 'orange chicken' here! It was my first time seeing this in Sydney, though it's a popular order at Panda Express in the States. Aussies are more accustomed to lemon chicken, so just think that but with a more orange juice-y profile. We also tried their xiao long bao ๅฐ็ฌผๅŒ… and sheng jian bao ็”Ÿ็…ŽๅŒ… (pan-fried pork buns), both nice and soupy, and their Lanzhou beef...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Birkenhead Point Outlet Center, and it undoubtedly lives up to its reputation as a shopper's paradise. The center's convenient location by the waterfront adds to its appeal, making it easily accessible for both locals and tourists alike.

When it comes to the quality of products and brands, Birkenhead Point Outlet Center does not disappoint. The variety and range of brands available are impressive, catering to diverse tastes and preferences. From fashion to homeware, there's something for everyone, and the discounted prices make it even more enticing.

Moreover, Birkenhead Point Outlet Center boasts a selection of great coffee shops. After a satisfying shopping spree, taking a break at one of these cafes is a must. The pleasant ambiance and delicious coffee offerings provide a perfect opportunity to recharge before hitting the stores again.

Overall, Birkenhead Point Outlet Center is a must-visit shopping destination, combining a convenient location, ample parking, top-notch brands, and delightful coffee shops. It's a haven for bargain hunters and fashion...

A very upsetting dining experience. We regularly dine at this cafe restaurant, and usually spend over $300 per visit. Generally the food and service is quite impressive, but unfortunately today we were very disappointed with the quality of service that we received when we ordered the main size of garlic prawns that came with minimal amount of sauce over the prawns. So we asked the waiter if we could have some extra sauce on top of the prawns. We waited around 10 minutes before they brought a bowl of sauce and we thanked them for that. But unfortunately, when we received the bill they charged us four dollars for the extra sauce that was supposed to be on the dish in the first place. This was a shortcoming on the chefs part .When asked why we were charged four dollars on the receipt, the waitress said โ€œ I was told to charge you for the sauceโ€ . This clearly does not portray a sense of goodwill from the kitchen/chef/restaurant owner and management. We will not be dining at this restaurant ever again, and will be cancelling our Christmas function that we have already booked...

Love the dog friendly trial. It was a new experience getting to shop with my girl and because we were just visiting Sydney from Canberra, being able to bring my dog made it very convenient as we could not have left her in the hotel on her own (it is against most hotel policies). The only things I found tricky was the lack of signage about where the stairs were as pet owners were advised not to use the lifts and escalators (which is understandable). It's also up to the store to give permission to allow dogs in however it would be nice if the stores put a sign out the front to say whether they do or don't, or even if they prefer for it to be on request, as sometimes the staff are busy and it makes it awkward to ask at every store. It made sense to us to avoid crowded or smaller stores. I can imagine not all dogs might enjoy the crowds so definitely something better suited to well behaved companion dogs who are patient and calm. I have two dogs but I could not see my younger and more energetic one enjoying it as much. Something for pet owners to consider before bringing them along.
