Not our first choice but considering everywhere else was full and close early and it was about 8.30pm, we opted for this one instead as they close 10pm
There was a long wait outside in the cold, but thankfully they have the heater on to keep us warm
Menu list where we ordered food etc
We ordered: Fish Soup w/herbs and Murray Cod; Green vegies; a couple of varieties of mushrooms; hand made prawn balls and fish balls; fish roe ball; Wagyu slices (6 pieces)
Drinks we had the Pearl River beer and plum drink
Everything (in portions) thrown inside a huge bamboo pot, the food was nice and hot, and the flavour was there
What a great experience This is probably the first time in Sydney we had something like this (in a bamboo pot) as everywhere else usually do steel pots or clay pots
Service was not the best but acceptable Be nice and talk calmly to them, and they'll treat you the same
The only downside is understanding English. When paying, the lady waitress didn't understand when I asked her if there was a surcharge on card payment but it was displayed when she punched it into the EFTPOS machine. Didn't see any signs regarding card payment surcharges, maybe there is and was blocked or covered up by other things on the table bench top
It was pricey, three of us, eight dishes, the hot pot and a fish plus two drinks, just a little over $200
Always room for improvement Hopefully they'll have a dedicated person to collect money at the front desk, rather than have a waiter or waitress to collect money instead, and they must know both...

We also enjoyed the varieties of free side dishes and the mix sauces varieties provided were plentiful and fresh too.
Staff were very helpful, friendly & polite. Restaurant was clean, presentable and very comfortable.
