Read moreFirst time to experience it. For late lunch, we tried Pho & net spring rolls upstairs. Can't say it's the best we've had but it's okay. As the night crept in and the stalls started to prep up. We had BBQ chicken, kikiam, quail eggs, frozen yogurt, and gulaman for drinks. There's a wall of locks similar to the ones in Europe and Korea. So if you're into it, make sure you bring a lock with you.
We took photos before a mob of customers arrive. If we have waited until all stalls were open, it will be more chaotic to do so.
We've been to Market City Chinatown many times so to compare it to Burwood Chinatown, would be so unfair. Both have different ambiance and atmosphere. The total let down in Burwood was the awful smell of sewer where the stairs are, leading to the restaurants upstairs. That took the fun out of partaking the street foods. Additionally, the loud music was coming from a large TV that looks like featuring a concert or so. However, the TV was completely covered by a large pergola or outdoor umbrella of one of the stalls. So that pretty much defeat the very purpose of having a large TV there, as dining people cannot see or watch it. Lastly, it was drizzling when we came so people were trying to squeeze in themselves underneath the umbrellas, which made it so uncomfortable for people who secured a table/seat and under the umbrellas.
Overall, I gave it a 3star out of 5, in the hope that the admin will come to their senses and address these...
