This musical theatre, while relatively small compared to some of the grand venues in town, serves as an excellent destination for children's musicals. Its prime location adds to its appeal, making it easily accessible for families seeking a delightful theatrical experience. However, there's a notable downside that could deter parents with young ones: the parking situation.
Parking can be a major hassle, particularly when attending with children in tow. The limited parking spaces often leave parents circling the area in search of a spot, which can be quite stressful. It would be a tremendous improvement if the theatre could provide designated parking spaces for moms, acknowledging the unique challenges they face when attending family-oriented events.
Despite this parking predicament, the theatre itself provides a cozy and intimate setting, ideal for children's musicals. The smaller size allows for a more intimate connection with the performance, making it engaging for young audiences. The quality of the productions is generally commendable and well-suited for kids.
In conclusion, this musical theatre, while small in size, is a decent choice for children's musicals due to its location and intimate atmosphere. However, addressing the parking issues, especially for parents, would greatly enhance the overall experience and encourage more frequent visits from families...
Read moreI'll start my review with the information I couldn't find anywhere before visiting: yes, you can eat inside the theater!
The Riverside Theater has many venues on the same building, so I'm talking about the venue called Riverside (don't know about the others).
This venue is about 1h away from my house via public transportation. Our show was during the week so it was going to be very tight to get dinner after work and prior to the show.
As I looked at the event info, venue rules, FAQs... everywhere, and there was no mention of food, we ate something quickly before arriving. But it turns out that yes, you can eat inside the venue! So hopefully this info can help other visitors.
I saw both - people eating stuff sold by the theater and just take away from other restaurants.
The venue was clean, nice, friendly staff, informal vibe. I'd come back!
In terms of seating area, the venue is quite small so anywhere you'll have an ok view. But if you're undecided between the middle rows of the main bottom floor or the upper seating, the main floor is much better. We were able to check out both,...
