I love this precious piece so truly valuable happy memories am so humdled world class piece of property to last a life time peaceful and happy a view to admire and share and paint to capture a healing place of mind body and soul forever to behold I am grateful for the shared experiences of which though life has not been easy for me I have come to appreciate the small blessings in life and am though grateful to be in the presences of all am deeply concerned about others whom don't have a chance once upon a time I had faith and hope now though the lack of love and empathy towards others of which I have so lost for I was and have been so misjudged and mistreated by so many however I don't seek revenge I seek peace for all mankind what a dangerous world I so exist in and from one human to another I wish you divine guidance and fogginess of your sins and I pray for all however I have learnt from experience not to believe or trust anyone and retain my own honest train of thought on issues of which are important and so involve my personal well-being and safety and security and emotional well-being however I though unable to do so can not leave ad I once so did I love this country and its people however it has not evolved well in everyone's best interests to many unacceptable mistakes of which has caused to much pain for all and suffering not even asked for just taken without consent I am talking human life here precious and so valuable they never sought nor required such I am deeply sad no matter the age we have to do better as fellow human beings I try each day to have love and understanding and compassion for others however I can't tolerate people being unkind to elderly children and basically any kind of lies and abuse and mark my words I have indeed been mistreated by my fellow mankind in more ways than one however not many where prepared to give consideration towards my person though my deeply personal struggle to survive and grow and along the way without support nor expecting anything from anyone I gave my very precious time engery and kindness and human support to others in need and I...

It is one of the best urban sanctuaries that is pretty much an open secret of Sydney. I have been here a few times now and love it every time I come here.

Some key highlights & tips: It is within walking distance from Milsons Point Train station or Milsons Point Wharf by ferry through Lavender Bay. It is possible to get here by car, but street parking may be limited. I highly recommend wearing a good pair of walking shoes. While it is not a difficult hike in the garden or to & from public transport, a comfy pair of shoes will make the trip here more enjoyable. Every season provides a different experience when visiting the garden. There are flowering plants that flower at different times of the year. Also, there are sculptures in the garden. The garden has multiple entrances. Look out for the various entry points. It has never been crowded for the times I have visited. Though, at times, you may bump into couples doing wedding shoots or hiring a section of the garden for a garden wedding. There are seats along the walkways and at the bottom of the garden, tables & seats as well. Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic rugs. I have also seen other visitors bring a book to read or have lunch in the garden. As the garden has slopes and stairs to access different parts of the garden, it is not wheelchair or pram friendly. A visit here can span between half hour to 2 hours (depending on how you like to spend your time here). From the top of the garden and parts of the walkways, it has one of the best views of the Harbour Bridge.

From what I have read, this garden is maintained by volunteers, and they are truly doing an amazing job. I highly recommend visiting this amazing, not so...

A late & rushed visit to this secret garden on Sun 10 Sep recently. This garden has been featured on quite a few gardening shows & articles. Quiet & tranquil it is Not! Abuts the Luna Park in one corner - as such you can hear the shrieks & screams of park patrons on joy rides. Views from the top & through the canopy of trees & foliage is a visual treat.

It looks like an ordinary palm fringed narrow long park from the road & the hint to what's hidden beyond - a sheer drop into the embankment - is the wild brush turkeys' sudden appearance chasing each other onto the road!

The address on google is Lavender St but a quicker entry is opposite Kirribilli RSL Club on Harbourview Crescent. From here - it is a pretty steep narrow path with rustic branch balustrade to hold on to - zigzags haphazardly down to the old railway line over the fence. It feels like being deep in forest canopy except for the noise from Luna Park, glimpses of water views & fringed by residences.

Dotted with whimsical & often kitsch artworks & sculptures - some good & some whatever??, garden is very engaging nevertheless...There are table/chair settings for picnic here & there but bring wipes to clean them first! No sign of toilets. Possible wheelchair access from another point of entry but be prepared for uphill return.

Appreciate the mammoth effort over the years to transform what must have been a fairly barren rocky terrain into a fertile cool oasis with huge Moreton Bay figs & shade loving underplantings. Have to vist again & spend more time. But an hour at...

If you're looking for a little slice of paradise in the heart of Sydney, look no further than Wendy Whiteley's Secret Garden. Tucked away in Lavender Bay, this stunning oasis is a must-visit for locals and tourists alike. As soon as you step foot inside the garden, you'll be transported to a magical world of lush greenery, winding paths, and serene water features. Every corner of the garden is carefully curated, with beautiful blooms and hidden nooks just waiting to be discovered. What makes Wendy Whiteley's Secret Garden even more special is its fascinating backstory. The garden was created by artist Brett Whiteley's wife, Wendy, as a way to honor his memory and create a space where people could come together and connect with nature. Today, the garden is a testament to Wendy's creativity and passion, and a true labor of love. One of the highlights of the garden is its stunning views of Sydney Harbour. As you wander through the foliage, you'll catch glimpses of the iconic Harbour Bridge and Opera House, reminding you that you're still in the heart of the city. Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Sydney, or simply want to soak up some natural beauty, Wendy Whiteley's Secret Garden is the perfect destination. Make sure to bring a camera and plenty of time to explore – you won't want to leave!
