I recently enjoyed dinner at Caylend, a creative fusion restaurant nestled near Mariahilferplatz. The interior blends sleek modern wood tones and elegant lighting with a splash of Caribbean-inspired flair—it felt both stylish and relaxed.

I started with grilled octopus and bluefin tuna steak—each dish showcased bold global flavors with a local Graz twist. The pork belly duo was a standout, slow-cooked and deeply flavorful. Portions delighted without feeling heavy, and the tasting experience opened my palate beautifully.

The wine list and cocktails—like the Mango Margarita—added to the evening’s charm. Service was polished and welcoming. Staff guided my choices with knowledge and ease, keeping the pacing relaxed and enjoyable.

Beautifully presented and tastefully constructed dishes. Wow the food is really tasty! I've had quail, rare tuna, molé steak, fried oysters and octopus! Great selection of pan-Asian Latin Indian flavors. Fun plates of food with plenty to discover. It's really hard to choose 1 app and 1 entree everything im the menu sounds great. Oh and the cocktails... Try the mango margarita get it with salt brings out all the flavors of the limes and tequila. Great food, attentive service, relaxed and groovy atmosphere. Seems like Caylend is really out to impress with their dining expierence. They have really done a great job all 3 times I've been there. I haven't had this kind of quality consistency from any other restaurant in this...

The food was outstanding. Caylend has an odd vibe, not the kind of place I would walk by and think, "I should eat there," but wow, what a reminder not to judge covers. Everything was cooked perfectly and beautifully, with creative touches that added a lot of complexity and flair to each dish. The tuna belly and duck leg were an experience - while both dishes are hard to mess up, they were above and beyond. Flavorful, delicate, rich. So good. Also, how is it possible to make beet ice cream so delectable? Maybe my favorite dessert of the year for sheer cheek.
