I was looking forward to visiting Casino Innsbruck during my trip, but unfortunately had a disappointing experience with two staff members—one (heavier set fella) working at the upstairs registration desk and one security guard downstairs.
Upon arrival, I was asked if I had been to an Austrian casino before. I replied honestly and asked if there was a difference from casinos in other countries. Instead of receiving an answer or any basic explanation, I was met with silence and indifference. I asked a few more questions about the process, but the staff member continued to ignore me and then immediately pressured me to purchase chips without any clarity. It felt like I was being pushed into spending money before even stepping inside.
When I went downstairs, a gentleman at the desk kindly confirmed I was already registered and didn’t need to pay to enter. However, the security guard (another heavier-set man who was clearly aware of the interaction) still refused to let me in, without offering any explanation. It was apparent that both staff members understood English but chose not to engage respectfully.
As someone who enjoys casinos and plays regularly in the U.S., I often like to take my time and play for a while. But after this unwelcoming treatment, I decided not to waste my time. The behavior I experienced felt discriminatory, dismissive, and frankly, unprofessional. It’s unfortunate—because had I been treated with basic courtesy, I may have stayed and enjoyed the evening. Instead, it felt like a scheme to rush visitors into spending unnecessarily.
I hope management takes this seriously. No guest should be treated this way, especially in a hospitality-driven setting...

If you have the tourist Innsbruck Card (which is BEYOND worth it if you are a tourist in the city) you receive entrance AND 30 euro worth of chips for 20 Euro, along with a free glass of sparkling wine.
5 Euro minimum blackjack & roulette tables along with a few other poker hand based chance games I wasn't familiar with. All slots are digital, did not play any. Several automated roulette stations, where I lucked in to a few wins and made a cheap night of lighthearted casino play pay off.
Other than not having enough blackjack dealers. A fun diversion for an evening. Staff was...
Read moreSmall casino. Good thing that smoking isn’t allowed in main table bits. 2 blackjack tables. They do try to fool you by offering to pay €27 for €30 gold chips at the entrance. You can’t change back gold chips into money in case you don’t want to spend all. You need to convert gold chips to green to actually have cash back which is fine if you are going spend that amount anyway. €1.30 for coat hanging I have never seen anywhere. Casino should always encourage people to come in for free because eventually people...
