A beautiful historic building with a lively public space — worth visiting even without the tours I visited the building just to explore on my own and didn’t join any of the tours, but I was still quite impressed. This used to be the Brussels Stock Exchange and has now been beautifully restored into a cultural and social hub open to the public. 🔸 Architecturally stunning — The exterior is one of the most photographed landmarks in Brussels, and inside it’s bright, spacious, and a great blend of historic charm and modern design. 🔸 Free entry to the main areas — You don’t need a ticket to enter the common spaces where people work, relax, and socialize. There are cafés, gift shops, and plenty of seating areas. 🔸 Separate paid tours available — The “Belgian Beer World” experience and the small archaeological site “Bruxella 1238” require paid tickets. Student tickets are €16, regular adult tickets €19.50, which include beer tastings. I didn’t take part in these tours though. 🔸 Opening hours — Closed on Mondays, open generally from 10 AM on other days, with extended hours on weekends, especially Saturdays. 🔸 Central location — Right in the heart of the city, just a 2-minute walk from Grand Place and very easy to reach by metro. ✨ Overall, just walking in, sitting, and soaking up the atmosphere is a pleasant experience. Even if you don’t join the tours, it’s a great place to take a break while exploring the city. If you’re a student, the tours are also quite affordable. I definitely want to try the paid experiences next time I visit.

The Régie Communale Autonome Bourse-Beurs, often referred to as simply "La Bourse" or "The Stock Exchange," is a historic building located in the heart of Brussels, Belgium. Originally constructed in the 19th century, it served as the city's stock exchange until it ceased its operations in 1996.Since then, the building has been repurposed and now houses cultural and commercial activities. It serves as a venue for exhibitions, conferences, and other events. The Bourse also hosts temporary exhibitions, showcasing a wide range of cultural and artistic expressions. Moreover, the Bourse is an architectural gem, featuring a stunning neoclassical design with intricate detailing and grand interiors. Its central location makes it a prominent landmark in Brussels and a popular destination for both locals and tourists. In recent years, efforts have been made to revitalize the surrounding area, transforming it into a vibrant hub for commerce, culture, and entertainment. The Régie Communale Autonome Bourse-Beurs continues to play a significant role in the cultural landscape of Brussels, contributing to the city's rich heritage and dynamic atmosphere.

Once the city’s stock exchange, the Régie Communale Autonome Bourse-Beurs has been brilliantly reimagined as a vibrant cultural hub. Its stunning architecture still whispers of its financial past, now complemented by Belgian Beer World’s interactive exhibitions and a rooftop bar with breathtaking views. Wander through archaeological remains beneath the building, relax in co-working spaces, and enjoy the rich blend of history and innovation. Entry is free, and the atmosphere is welcoming—definitely worth a visit! 🍺🏛️💼
