Paid £150 a night for this room (breakfast not included). Has to be one of the poorest rooms I've stayed in (I travel 5 times a year plus more on business). It was a combination of lots of small things that led to such a poor rating. Things didn't start well, took around 20 minutes to check in with just 2 couples in front of us. No idea why it took so long. The room itself (double room) was pretty small, not itself a deal-breaker. The biggest issue was the shower in the main room by the window. I couldn't quite believe the setup. There were blinds and a window on one side which had obviously begun to rust. The blinds couldn't be adjusted and I could see into the room adjacent above so clearly they could see into the shower. The wall had also paint flaking off. The wooden floor was obviously getting soaked too and showing signs of wear. The toilet was tiny, good luck sitting down if you're over 6 foot. The room must have been above the bins as we were woken up each night with the sound of crashing bottles. Because the blinds can't be adjusted the room is also quite light at night and early morning. To top it off we asked about breakfast in the morning and were told we should have booked the previous day which wasn't mentioned when we checked it. The TV was also very small and old. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and pillows actually good quality for a hotel. The WiFi was also very fast. It is well located for visiting the main sites in Brussels, a short walk from the Grand Place and metro links and restaurants.

The rating of this place is mostly from before, lately I see mostly bad reviews. The room is very small, you can barely turn your but. The shower leaks water into the room so my stuff got wet, the shower only has a single stream making showers not very comfortable. The room is noisy, you can hear the music from outside. I asked to get a different room but this came with a cost, when I asked about it I was blamed since I chose the room, which is incorrect I just requested a room. Then I got blamed for not doing my research. This is not what I expect from a hotel of this price

Terrible experience. Room was in awful condition. Mold from the shower as there is no curtain or door separating the room. Room gets muggy from no separation from shower. Holes in the floor as it is rotting and molding from the water going everywhere. The bathroom is in the closet. I caught my foot in the holes in the floor. The room is taller than it is wide. Very noisy as there is a bar with loud music downstairs. Thin walls, you can hear your neighbors. Asked management if they could accommodate a room change and the only thing they offered was a free breakfast.

Triples & Quads Beware! ||I have never rated a place this low. The reason it’s getting even 3 stars is because it was a beautiful and large room. A king bed! Plus a sofa sleeper. And price was average to good. Everything seemed clean and new. ||It was on the top 4 th floor. Nice looking room but SO hot. It was about 75 degrees outside that day. Thermostat was locked to go no lower than 20 degrees which I think is about 70 F. But I would’ve froze if it was that temp. At home I keep it 77-78 degrees. This felt like 80+. |The desk clerk said nothing could be done. The room had one fan. I think it may have been the only room that slept more than two. It felt like the same temp as the hallway and that wasn’t air- conditioned and got noticeably cooler as you walked down. ||By morning the a/ c appeared to be working.||The only windows were skylights. We were on the front side of the hotel and in what seemed to be one of the most happening squares in Brussels. We had to open the skylights because of the heat and it was still way too warm- hardly made a difference.- and was so , so loud I didn’t fall asleep for 3 hours. Neither did my sister. It was very loud until about 11:30 and then moderately loud till I fell asleep after 1:00. Voices and cars drag- racing . All in all, a miserable night. |In addition , the shower was not in a closed - off area, so no privacy. There was a coffee machine( Nespresso) but no cream ( I did ask ). ||At some point in the night , one of the other two occupants shut the skylights. At 7:30 am the garbage and recycling trucks came through. I heard it though I was already awake- it didn’t wake me up. ||Even if you are only two, you’d do well to ask for a room not over the street if you...

Perfect location very near to the city center. This is the only positive point.

Many negative points need to be mentioned: 1- The room design is very bad. Can you imagine that they are putting the bathtub in front of the bed without any private area instead of putting it in the bathroom like all other hotels. This means that any 2 people in the room who might be friends, brothers, sisters or even a man with daughter should take the shower one in front of the other person and when I requested to change the room I was told that all rooms have the same odd design. It is really something disgusting. 2- The room telephone was not working so you have to go to the reception if you need anything instead of calling them and when I requested an alternative the lady in the reception lied on me saying that this is the same problem in many other rooms which was not correct. 3- The hotel stairs are very narrow and not suitable for most of people to be used. I have to wait for the elevator otherwise the stairs may cause that I may fall down. 4- The room view was awful as if it is a cemetery.

The most negative thing is that when I mentioned all these negative points to the lady in the reception she answered me "I can give you back your money and you can search another place". This phrase chocked me.

I don't recommend this hotel to anyone searching for good place to stay in brussels except for the...
