Wish I could have given less than one star. We had a terrible experience here. First, Steve lured us in from the street, promising us a table even though none were available. He sweet-talked us into staying, saying we could wait outside while they prepared our food. What followed was a frustrating 50-minute wait outside.

During this time, we noticed that the lobster we ordered was taken off the grill 40 minutes before we were seated. Then, 15 minutes before we finally got a table, it was put back on the grill to ā€œreheat.ā€ Unsurprisingly, it was so overcooked that it was nearly impossible to eat or remove from the shell—and it was still cold.

We also ordered jerk chicken, which was extremely small and, like the lobster, cold. To make matters worse, the sides we ordered were suddenly unavailable.

We ended up paying 70 Belizean dollars for cold, poorly prepared food that was absolutely not worth the one-hour wait. We left still hungry.

Additionally, we specifically ordered a large lobster, but the one we were served was incredibly small. When we raised the issue, Steve insisted it was a ā€œmedium.ā€

Throughout this ordeal, there was zero communication from the staff. They ignored us completely, acting as though they knew they had ripped us off.

This was a disappointing and frustrating experience from start to finish. We would never eat here again and cannot recommend...

We arrived there at 6:20 on a Thursday night and immediately put our name in. We clarified with the cook and Steve they had stone crab claws left. We were a pretty big group, initially 8 which then turned into 6 because 2 didn’t want to wait for food, so the 6 of us were willing to wait. We were initially told 45 minutes for a table and to wait at a nearby bar, similar to all the other reviews. We waited about an hour before we went to reconfirm our table was going to be ready soon, steve told us 20 minutes. At about 2 hours into waiting for a table, 8:30 they asked for our order. All 6 of us wanted the crab which we confirmed multiple times they would still have. Finally, at 9:30pm we received our food. only 4 of us got the sad excuse of our "stone crab claw dinner." These dinners had 1 claw and a mixture of fish, shrimp, and veggies. It was good food but for the wait and lack of portion we were disappointed. When we brought it up to Steve the only excuse he had was that he was a small business trying to do his best. Almost all of us have worked in the service industry so we understand hiccups, but this was pretty unacceptable and will not be recommended...

Worst dining experience in Central America so far. The guy lured us in from the street with a nice sales pitch. However, we ended up waiting for an hour on the street to get a table. There was no communication, so we just stood there without knowing if a table would become available. Because of this, he had to reheat our order on the grill twice, and even then, it was cold when served.

On top of that, we didn’t get what we ordered. We were served rice instead of mashed potatoes and a small lobster instead of a large one. The jerk chicken and lobster were dry and cold, and we couldn’t even separate the meat from the bone/shell.

The guy, ā€œSteve,ā€ clearly knew he messed up because he avoided us the entire time. To make matters worse, the cashier was incredibly rude when we went to pay, even though we were charged for a large lobster but received their smallest one.

Would not recommend this place – go enjoy good food and better service...

Firstly we had to wait 45 minutes before we got a table, even tho every 10 minutes they told us the table would be ready within a few minutes. We ordered some lobster tails, but it was served almost cold (the dish was probably already ready while we had to wait for a table). When we told the waiter that the food was cold, he told us that that wasnt possible because it came just from the grill (according to him) and he walked away. One lobstertail wasnt prepared good and the other was eatable, but not worth the money. When we told him for the second time the food was not good, he blamed us for not letting him know and not asking him to put it back on the grill.... He also showed almost no understanding

The lobster and curry chicken at Steve's Grill was simply divine! During my vacation, I stumbled upon this hidden gem and decided to try their lobster in pork chop dish. It was a culinary masterpiece! The lobster was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor, while the curry chicken added a delightful savory element of coconut curry. Each bite was a symphony of taste sensations. The presentation was elegant, and the portion size was generous. The ambiance of the restaurant complemented the dining experience, making it truly unforgettable. If you're a seafood lover, do yourself a favor and indulge in this exquisite dish at Steves Grill. It's worth every penny!
