We visited Namaste based on recommendations but were left disappointed. The staff were unhelpful and at times outright rude. A tip was automatically added to the bill before any service was provided, and when we chose not to pay it, the cashier made a scene, claiming it was "difficult to remove." The pricing was excessive—$8 for a plain bagel with nothing on it, and $15 for a simple bowl of yogurt. When I asked for a bit of butter, one staff member said they didn’t offer it, while another said it would cost $3. It arrived in a tiny ramekin barely the size of a quarter of my palm. I got a yoghurt bowl, bagel and smoothie which came to $35, which to me was very expensive for something so simple and plain. To top it off, when my friend tried to pay with a $100 bill, the cashier claimed he had no change (even though he did), and scolded her for using large bills at "small businesses." The overall attitude of the staff felt unwelcoming and unaccommodating. Sadly, we won’t...
Read moreEdit to add: I come here frequently and it depends on who’s serving you… cause last couple times i have been one of the only people there around 11-12am and service still takes a long time feels like they’d rather me not be there so they can close and are just waiting to you leave. Also food hasn’t been as good… So I took off a star… But usually, Lovely cafe, great ambiance, very friendly staff, good flavors... one of the few veggie-filled, lighter options on the island, and so very necessary for the soul. to top it off are the yoga classes which are such a delight and have truly complimented my days here in CC. I haven't done yoga in a couple years and it felt so good to step in to my skin in such a welcoming place, where Jessie encourages everyone to be themselves and go at their own pace. It has been such a great start to each day, and I hope she knows how big her impact is on the community and each individual. So appreciated. It's donation based, and really...
Read moreSorry, but I’m seriously NOT a fan. The chai latte was luke warm and mildly spiced… in a small mug for $7BZ. Although i live in Belize and know that attempts at European or northern cuisine often sounds better on the menu than it turns out on the plate, i ordered the spicy salami panini. The bread was very dry despite being slathered in garlic/herb cream cheese. The meats were turkey ham and a local cotto style salami with pickled jalapeños. I felt utterly “ugh” afterwards and wished I’d eaten at Errolyn’s House of Fry Jack. My friend was sick after eating a 1/2 bagel with cream cheese and a latte. Not a place for locals and a disappointment to others. I did talk to someone who loved their sandwiches, but there are much better food value options...
