Lake Louise Ski Area Ltd. — Attraction in Calgary

Today is Saturday. I called in yesterday to ask how to make my Louise card direct to lift. I was told that I would have to come into the office.

So I drove down here today specifically to have this done. I waited in line for over 20 minutes only to have an employee tell me that they were out of cards and they wouldn’t be able to process it today. Apparently the cards have been held up at the border since Thursday. Not only is this poor planning but poor communication on multiple levels.

I was then told they could take my my credit card information and fill out my waiver, but that I would still have to stand in line once again at the hill in order to process my card. So zero advantage. What was the most frustrating was that there was a long lineup & it would’ve been a very small courtesy to put a sign up explaining the situation so that people didn’t have to stand in line for 20 minutes only to find out that they couldn’t get what they came down here for. Or alternatively someone could’ve poked her head out the door and explain the situation, so people effected could leave without having to wait in line. Very poor management of...

Absolutely wonderful! This is the place to get married if you want a vendor that makes the whole wedding planning process easier! My husband and I got married here over the September long weekend; Adrian and his team could not have been more accommodating! They were so flexible, they looked after so many things in the background taking the stress off us during the day. My god the food!!! Oh the food was all our guests could talk about, there was so much, and it was delectable! Believe it or not, their prices are really good, not to mention being in Lake Louise on top of it (and our total budget was $10 000-$15 000). Great variety of terrain, always something to ski, even with low vis, go to larch etc. Beautiful views. Good groomers with long vertical, nice steeps in the back bowls and fun, almost backcountry feel to the west bowl. Good lift infrastructure to ski laps... This year is a stellar year for snow, on normal years, front side can get icy. Excellent ski school. My only complaint is the food. I wish they had more variety... Temple lodge is cozy, but if they had not than just chicken fingers, would be a winner. The price is going up. But at least they invest in the resort, new summit chair last year, west bowl opening, new lower lift this year... Overall, a...
