My recent visit to LAKE LOUISE VILLAGE Grill & Bar was unfortunately a significant letdown, marred by both exceptionally poor service and concerning billing practices. Given the beautiful setting of Lake Louise, one expects a certain standard, which this establishment regrettably failed to meet on multiple fronts. From the outset, the service was disorganized and inattentive. Our server seemed to have little understanding of which dishes belonged to whom, leading to confusion at our table. Even more frustrating, two members of our party waited an exceptionally long time for their meals, so much so that the rest of us were nearly finished eating by the time their food finally arrived. This completely disrupted the dining experience and meant we couldn't enjoy our meal together. Beyond the initial food delivery, there was a complete lack of follow-up. Not a single water refill was offered or performed throughout our entire dining experience, despite our glasses being empty. This level of neglect is simply unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one in a popular tourist destination. To compound the poor service, we were very disappointed by the billing practices. The restaurant automatically added a 15% gratuity to our final bill. While automatic gratuities are sometimes applied to large groups, ours was not, and it felt particularly egregious given the substandard service we received. Furthermore, the bill was rounded up to the highest dollar amount before taxes were applied. This practice feels like an unwarranted additional charge and left a sour taste, especially when combined with the forced gratuity. Overall, the combination of extremely poor service – characterized by disorganization, slow delivery, and a complete lack of attentiveness – coupled with questionable billing practices, makes it impossible to recommend LAKE LOUISE VILLAGE Grill & Bar. There are many other dining options in the Lake Louise area; I strongly advise visitors to consider those instead to avoid a similarly disappointing experience.

Ooooouuuch!!! $$$$$ I cannot give much good to say about a tourist trap. This restaurant is expensive and not worth it. First of all, the location. It's up three flights of stairs and barely anything to tell you you are at the right place. Then you're going to think you're walking into a washroom, but no, you'll soon come to it on the left. The booths are from the 80s, and it feels like a cafeteria more than a restaurant. Aside from the waitresses family having dinner, no one else to be seen. I understand why now. Chicken stir-fry? 2 pieces of celery, 3 pieces of broccoli, 3 wafer thin shims of carrot, 2 pieces of cauliflower, 5 pieces of mini corn, 11 small pieces of chicken (4 were big enough to be considered pieces, the rest were itty bitty. The kind you usually flick to the side when making it at home). Mostly noodles. No lid on the sauces for the spring rolls, so carry it carefully. Mushy ginger beef, no Fortune cookies. One highly over priced bill. Still hungry. Skip this place. In fact, Skip Lake Louise all together. It's the type of place that claims the location is hard to get goods to cheaply, but it's on a major highway that is filled with semi trucks. I understand in the 1850s it took more to get stuff here, but nowadays, half of everything on the shelf in Calgary comes through this town. This resort village is a gouge to the wallet. Ughh! Getting out of town, gotta go now!

The village of Lake Louise has a few food options. We looked around to find something that suited our wants and that was not too expensive--we just needed a small meal to tide ourselves over until we got home. With exception with the cafe/bakery (which was packed), all the other restaurants are highly priced--I understand why, it is a tourist location! I'm giving Lake Loiuse Village Grill a 4/5. When you arrive, the sign says "Please wait to be seated" This place was not very busy, but we had to wait a while before being seated. I caught the attention of staff when I started to walk in past their signage. Food was okay, nothing special--kind of like a Denny's or Salisbury House. The price tag is reflective of where you are--Lake Louise Village! Staff were slightly forgetful--it happens, but when easily reminded, they were okay! Their menu is a mix of burgers/sandwiches, pasta, breakfast and chinese food--so something for everyone. We had a stir fry (it was just vegetables, no noodles or rice), veggie burgers with sides and a grilled cheese sandwich on whole wheat with fries--shoe string fries. Due to the higher price point and simple menu, I'd likely try out somewhere else or bring a picnic lunch. Thank you.

If I could give a zero for food, I would. We were told that this was the only place to eat other than at the restraunts at the Fairmont.

Everything at the Fairmont requires reservations, so we were not able to go there. A few locals we asked all said the only place was the Lake Louise Village Restaurant and Bar.

It is located upstairs and there is an elevator and stairs to get there. We took the stairs and they were rather dirty/nasty, but after a full day of exploring and told this was our only option, we went in.

The dining room was rather full, which is usually a good sign. However, if a lot of them were like us, they didn't know there were other options.

We had to wait a few minutes to be seated. The person that seated us was rather nice but kind of rude at the same time. We waited a few minutes before they came to take our drink order. Both of us just had water, so we cannot comment on their drinks. But we had to ask for refills 4 or 5 times.

As we walked in, we looked at the tables as we passed to see what others had. Everything looked good. Key word "looked"! Upon seeing the menu and the pricing, we were not willing to pay for what we were seeing, as we passed the other tables. So we ordered burgers. They called them "cheese burgers" in the menu. But when they came out, we were not really sure if they were beef meat. The menu did not specifically state "hamburger" meat. It just said "cheese burger". We took it as hamburger, that was our mistake. Neither of us finished the burgers and my wife stated that "...it is the worst burger she has ever had in her life." I can agree with that!

Fifty-seven dollars for two burgers that were not finished by either of us. Biggest waste of money that we have spent on this trip.

They only thing that we can say was alright was the fries. Just didn't get very many of them.

After getting to our room, we looked up restaurants and discovered there are a couple of others on Sentinel Road. We haven't tried them, BUT they have to be better than what we had tonight.

Go somewhere else - don't waste your money at this location!

Sorry we did not take pictures of what we had. But honestly, I don't want to be reminded...

Oh this place is amazing… in a bad way. I normally don’t leave bad reviews cuz I believe everyone deserves a second chance. However this place is beyond saving point. Food can’t be called as food. Basically the kitchen staff lacks any interest in cooking (or life itself) which make their cooking ( if you call reheat frozen food as ‘cooking’) terribly and express their devastation. We ordered what is so called ´chicken fried rice ´ and I can say the rice would be in a much happier place even if they are in the trash bin than this kitchen. They somehow dried out the rice to make it almost unable to swallow and without any flavor. The chicken is not fried, in fact, it was definitely boiled with no salt or pepper, tore in small pieces and then roughly speared on the top of the plate. Not saying that you can’t boil chicken breast but I can’t agree that a ´fried rice ´ should be made this way. You might as well just call it boiled chicken with rice. To make it worse, the price is ridiculous high as $20. Jesus Christ any Chinese restaurant could beat this rice easily with a much more reasonable price. Other dishes such as hamburgers or curry are unbelievable awful as well. We can’t even finish this. And the list goes on….while my friend went to the bathroom, she discovered that the toilet was dirty and clearly lack of care and has a smell. One of the toilet was blocked with blood and tissues which almost made her throw up. To be honest I can’t believe such place dare to call themselves as restaurant/bar/grill. In fact it’s shocking to me that the place somehow still there after so many bad reviews. It makes you wondering what is kept them going. Lake Louise is such a pretty place and there are way much better places to eat at rather than ruin your day here. We got bad luck as that day most of the restaurants were not open at that time. Please, close this damn thing and find a better purpose to live your life and stop ruin other people’ life or their taste. For god’s...
