This park is situated in the Edmonton river valley between the vibrant Whyte Ave/Strathcona shopping area and downtown. The view of the nearby hills and the high level bridge is stunning. The park is sort of hidden inside the general Kinsmen rec centre complex and the main access is off a one-way street. So we always drove by but didnt go in. I am glad that we went this past weekend. It is a large playground with segregated play areas with different themes and targeted different age groups. There are also different ground cover - the rubber/used tire material, sand, mulch. Kids explored the areas one by one and had a great time. There is a washroom up the hill but we didnt go so I cant comment on the facility. Lastly, THE PARK OFFERS FREE WIFI. Read moreClean and newer playground structures with loose wood chips and sand as well. However, the challenge level (difficulty) for play structure are mostly toddler friendly (under 5). And most of the slides have big drop off at the end of slides for little ones. Wood chips are being refilled but still need tons more to bring up the ground level for kids to use slides.
