I enjoyed many of the items that were here, it’s very amazing to see the different vendors styles come through the items they display for sale but there are two things i found wrong. Obviously each vendor prices their items to how they feel but there was a pink wavy mirror from the dollar tree around $5 (i know because i have the same one) the only difference is that this one was painted a solid pink colour and is being sold for $60. Personally, I feel as if there should be some sort of controlling on pricing because i’m sure a cheap quality plastic mirror does not increase six times its original value due to pink paint.

Another serious thing I had noticed while visiting is that MANY vendors had old dolls, pictures, and items that depicted Indigenous and Inuit people. As an Indigenous person myself it made me feel uncomfortable that there was racially depicted ‘eskimo’ dolls for sale and on display that had traditional clothing on and redish skin (these were the worst ones somewhere on the fourth floor I think). There was many photos of old tribal members along with chiefs and items such as traditional footwear paired with feathers. These items would not be a problem but paired with the red skinned dolls, obviously it comes across with the wrong message. Many may find this not serious due to the underrepresentation and the lack of voice for Indigenous people but if they had “mammy” or “golliwog” dolls depicting African American people during slavery there would be an uproar. Just because it is an old item it does not mean it is an antique these should not be sold as collectible items. One would think due to the proximity of being so close to a reservation, there would be more common decency toward indigenous culture.
I would have included photos of these offensive items but I was too stunned by them even...
Read moreThe Hamilton Antique Mall is truly a treasure for anyone who loves antiques, collectibles, or simply browsing through history. It’s an amazing place to find unique and authentic antiques, and while you’ll come across a few newer items here and there, the real jewels are tucked away and waiting to be discovered. Every visit feels like a little adventure, because you never know what hidden relics you’ll stumble upon.
One important thing to know is that this mall is big—big enough to take hours to walk through if you really want to explore everything it has to offer. With multiple vendors under one roof, there’s a huge variety of pieces, from vintage furniture and décor to old tools, jewelry, records, and collectibles. If you’re planning a trip, definitely make sure you have plenty of time to wander, because rushing through would mean missing out on so many gems.
The prices vary, which is to be expected since every vendor sets their own, but overall they’re fair—especially when you consider the fact that some items are true relics that you just won’t find anywhere else. For collectors, decorators, or even just the casually curious, it’s worth every penny.
Overall, the Hamilton Antique Mall is not just a shopping trip, but an experience. Whether you’re a serious antique hunter or just looking for a unique afternoon out, it’s a place that offers something special for everyone. Take your time, keep an eye out for hidden treasures, and you’ll likely walk away with something...
Read moreWe entered the shop, my boyfriend had a tiny see-through bag with a shirt in it from Out of the Past (which is down the street). The employee rushed over to us and told us we couldn’t have our bag. We were standing directly beside a woman with a very large opaque bag, and her husband with a large brown bag. The woman said to the employee that she still had her bag, so why were we targeted, and the employee just shrugged. The woman was so upset about it she left the store. My boyfriend and I own a tattoo studio, and we’re both heavily tattooed. We decided to shrug it off, but walking around we noticed that EVERYONE ELSE still had their bag, so we felt pretty crummy. We decided to leave, so when I went to the counter I asked the employee why she chose us, and she said her manager told her to specifically ask us. I said “that’s not nice” and I told the woman, you can’t just pick out certain people - it’s hurtful and rude. She shrugged it off completely, so we left. We’ve furnished our studio completely with antiques we’ve collected from all over, including this antique mall. I drove an hour and a half to come here on Mother’s Day. I’ve been multiple times in the past, and have spent quite a bit of money on this street antiquing. I really think this business should respond to this as I’ve seen multiple other low reviews stating that they specifically target people....
