I barely gave bad reviews but today i have to.
I came here 3 times before and things were great. Today, i came with my child again as it’s too cold for outdoor activities and I noticed many negative things that so disappointed to the point i have to let you guys know.
since when “march break” can consider at a holiday, i came on Wednesday and had to pay for holiday price and staff said its because of March break ( but on the price board doesn't mention about it as a holiday) staff were not being nice to the children ( a female staff approached my son and said to him to put the toy back to the grocery store,… i mean she’s there to do her job to put all the stuff back, not to ask the children to do it.- sorry but this is a playground not the school so you can’t ask your “customers” like that. We pay for it and she is get paid to her job. Later on, while my son was playing with his cart a black female staff went by gave my son a dirty look and took his cart away, when my son even didn’t finish his turn. I saw everything but didn’t want to say. all the toys in the grocery store are too high of out children’s reach and they can’t get it by themselves. Even older children in same room asked me to help them reach to get it. If they try to reach it and the pretend food will fall on their head. I guess the purpose because they don’t want children reach it, play with it , toss it around so that they don't need to tidy up afterwards. pizza was too cold when i bought it and has to use microwave to warm it again staff even didn’t care until i asked, even it’s keep in the warmer an hour ago ??? staffs are not helpful and friendly to the kids at all. I observed and didn’t see they say hello or smile to the children while the kids playing there.
At this point im so disappointed and won’t come...
Read moreMy kids enjoyed the place that is what’s most important. There is no outside food allowed which is understandable because they have a cafe. But they don’t stock much on the menu. When I ordered a coffee it tasted like water and it was cold. I felt bad but did complain. They said they were cleaning the machine and didn’t realized it wasn’t working. They made it right and made me another coffee 20 mins later when the machine was clean. HOWEVER - I saw people coming in with Tim Horton food and drinks. And they just poured it into their own cups. Great good for them for keeping those customers happy. But if I knew I would have brought my drink in and just transfer cups too. There were also people feeding their kids home brought food. If I knew this I would have brought a safe food my child could have snacked on. Because litterally when at the cafe there was nothing to buy to eat. Only some drinks. Like water juice milk and coffee. Which we did buy 3 drinks.
Environment was clean. However I would suggest to cover the wall plugs that are low. In the entertainment room upstairs where there is interactive screens. There is a lot of loose wires and exposed plugs. It’s not very safe for young kids. You never know what can happen in a blink of an eye
The imagination rooms are great. They use all the shelves. Even the ones 6foot up and above. It’s a kid play area catered to kids under 8/9. So having toys put 6 foot or higher isn’t ideal. They can’t reach it. I can’t either.
With the online photos you might think the place looks really big. It is. But not all of it is open to public. You need to be a VIP to access the shark room. So half the playground is not accessible.
There was also broken toys in the dress up area. The dress rack and doll crib had broken wheels....
Read moreI don’t normally leave 1-star reviews, but this experience was incredibly disappointing, especially for a business in the children’s event industry.
My wife booked this place and paid a deposit, only to find out afterwards that not only does the party room end at the 2-hour mark (which is understandable), but all kids are also kicked out of the entire facility exactly at that point. For nearly $1,000, the expectation is that kids will eat, have dessert, open gifts, every guest to arrive exactly on time, and play, all within just two hours. It’s completely unrealistic and not aligned with industry standards.
We called several other venues and all allowed continued play after the party room time ended. When we raised concerns about how rushed it would feel, the owner brushed it off, saying kids usually only stay in the room “5 to 10 minutes anyway.”
My wife then considered switching to their 15-minute grad promo, which was a fraction of the cost and included 1 hour and 45 minutes of playtime plus 15 minutes in the private room to eat. This option was offered by another staff member. But suddenly, the owner imposed new restrictions, saying no cake was allowed due to “health and safety.” So somehow, 15 minutes in the room changes the entire food safety policy? It made no sense.
The policies are inconsistent and the customer service was dismissive and rigid. What was meant to be a simple, joyful celebration for our daughter turned into an unnecessarily stressful ordeal.
This venue needs to seriously reevaluate its policies, and approach to customer care. I would not recommend it to anyone. Find a place that values...
