I came here to get a hair cut a few months back, and finally worked up to leaving this review. I wish I actually looked at some of the reviews before coming here because it's "local". The low star reviews are all correct. I have no idea how this place has such high reviews.
To start this off, I left without the hair cut that I wanted, in fact, it was about 3-3.5 inches shorter than what we discussed, above shoulder length, which means I left with about 6 inches -7 inches less of hair than what I came in with. She also put a side part on the wrong side. My hair was long when I walked in, past my chest, but very dry. I wanted something that still went passed my shoulders and to trim off the dead ends. When I got home and it all finally sank in, I cried for days. It took me weeks to "get over it", but I'm still not over it fully. This was supposed to be a treat for myself to "pick me up", but it just added to my list of stresses and problems.
To make a long story short, she talked over me for the majority of the time and I don't think she really listened to me at all. (the owner, who cut my hair). I don't know what the rush was because no one else was in the salon. She would ask me a question, then answer over me, then just went ahead and did the exact opposite of what I asked for. She bragged a lot about her background the whole time and tried to sell me products. I might have gone for it if I actually was happy with what I got.
She cut my hair THEN asked me if it was too short. What an I supposed to say "yes it is, please put my hair back on?!"
When it was done I was in shock. I was panicking inside. I was trying so hard to convince myself it still looked good even though it wasn't at all what I asked for. It did not suit my face at all, and it was so short. It also lookedkind of old fashioned .
When she told me the price, I heart sank even more. I wanted to protest but I was still in shock, disbelief, and denial. The priciest, crappiest outing of my life. It was waaaayy too much for what I got.
This was my first time ever going to a salon. I thought I was treating myself, but now I feel like I can never trust anyone with...
Read moreI wish I had read the reviews before going here, but reading them makes me feel less alone. I had an awful experience and will not be returning.
To start with, I came in and Fanny proceeded to do her makeup in the mirror while I waited for her for 5 minutes. I described the haircut I clearly wanted and she gave me something totally different than I asked for. Then she tried to blame me for not describing it accurately, instead of taking responsibility.
She made an attempt to fix the haircut which involved cutting it much shorter than I had wanted to (jaw length instead of shoulder length) and didnât bother to wet the hair again to recut it properly, so it ended up being all different lengths at the back which I realized much later. I was actually embrassed that I had been walking around with such a bad haircut that whole time since I couldnât see the back was not cut straight. I now have to go to another hairdresser and have it redone.
Throughout the haircut, she was not focusing and she kept bragging about herself, pushing her products and trying to force conversation, and she actually insulted me more than once. While she was washing my hair she asked if I was pregnant (I am not), and then while she was cutting my hair, she told me my eyebrows werenât done well and tried pushing her products on me to âfix themâ when I didnât ask for advice and only came in for a haircut!
This women lacks professionalism, character, and attention to detail. I could have had a better haircut if I had...
Read moreBasically my best friend and I went to Montreal for a couple days and we decided to stop in. First off, we walked in and were immediately told where we would need improvement (I.e. eyebrows, roots, hair texture). I noticed that the prices were not written anywhere but my friend asked for a more blonde hair color. So I sat down to watch when the only lady working (the owner) said, "oh you have extensions" and I said yes I do. She them recommended a hair treatment and so I said yes that's a good idea and so she wet my hair and was doing god knows what when I asked how much does this cost? And of course people just assume that we are rich even thought I work at McDonald's. She said the treatment bottle was $52 and the physical treatment was $59!!! My friend had her hair dyed with simple highlishts (that already showed signs of roots because she hadn't done it evenly, or even near the roots), when she said the price that made both of our mouths drop, a whoping price of $370!!!! Even though I saw no prices for any of the services, she was explaining the add-ons that absolutely ridiculous. Horrible place!! Do not...
