This is my first review on a social media platform because I had to get this out of my chest so that the entire population can read it and be warned in going to this particular store. Man, you should really invest in some good customer-service classes before you have any interaction with customers themselves. You should remember me from today. I came with my daughter to sell my gold chain and I couldn’t help but to think about your rude behaviour all day and the 20 minutes that I spent at your store which I will never get back. I should’ve definitely trusted these bad reviews and shouldn’t even stepped onto your arena if I knew what a disgrace I am about to face. I felt belittled, put down and humiliated the whole time I was there. During our conversation, at one point his exact words were “what you’re talking to me is non-sense”. I mean c’mon you don’t buy and sell gold every other day like your grocery. I was just expressing my opinion and views and all he had to do was to listen with an open mind but no. He decided to mock me, pass sarcastic comments and decided to felt as if I was the most stupid person on this earth who doesn’t know squat. Is that really a way to treat your customers or do you just enjoy that? He said to some man who was working inside ‘give her $650’. When I stood my ground, he became offensive and said what would you pay if you were to sell it. When I told my offer, he said let me see what he can do, I’ll take picture of this chain (without even asking me if I was okay with it) and send to his customers overseas right away. After 1 minute he came and said one of his customers is saying that they would pay my price but he has to add his commission on top of it and said he would pay $1375. Everything that he was portraying seemed so shady that I just was not getting a good feel at all. I am a very laid back person who never give anyone hard time but his obnoxious and pushy attitude was totally uncalled for. He refused to give my chain right away and kept going back and front, back and front by babbling something and kept manipulating my thought process. I politely asked for the weight of my chain out of curiosity and later when I decided that I didn’t want to sell to this store (truthfully only because of his nasty behaviour), he asked ‘then why are you asking for the weight” It was like everything that the customer is doing is wrong and what he is doing is right in his eyes. I am awfully surprised that he doesn’t even learn from all the comments listed in this review and majority of them have some consistency to them. In his response, he’s copying and pasting the same answer but not owning upto his rude behavior. There was no greet, no goodbye when I left the store. I must say that it was one of the most awful experience I have experienced in my life. People, do not go this store ever. He will not only rip you off but would also make you feel...
Read moreI should have trusted the bad reviews. I went to this Oakville location today. The price offered to my gold coins was pretty okay. I won’t deny it but the staff was too pushy. I totally understand that he wanted the deal done but when your customers say they want their gold coin, jewellery or whatever you took to the back back, you should respect them and give them back to the customers right away. Instead, they try harder to keep you there and leave them at the back.
The experience got way worse than I thought when you told them you needed time to think about it. The staff tried to give million excuses to get the deal done. He wanted me to sign a paper to confirm a verbal deal ( well we did a verbal deal already but then he suddenly added a commission on a previously agreed price). This made me absolutely uncomfortable because of the in-transparency.
Right before he went to the back and took my coins back out, he asked if you felt more comfortable if he were to give me full market price and no commission, I was like of course. Then, he was rude and told me that so you were just uncomfortable with the price. This is one absolute factor and another factor is the way he tried to convince me to sell the coins created too much pressure on customers plus he told you about the commission right we agreed on the price. One would assume the price agreed would be all you get right? Before I left the store, even though I was so uncomfortable, I still tried to have a handshake with him to recognize his hard work even the deal was not done but he refused to with an extremely bad attitude.
I won’t recommend this store unless they are willing to change the way they make a deal. Customers want transparency of the whole process and of...
Read moreThis review is not meant to harm this business reputation nor the employees. I will give my feedback as I want people to be fully aware of what might happen before they decide to take their jewelry to this establishment. I went to sell almost never used and good quality gold jewelry and a diamond ring which was bought for over 6000 dollars. The first time I walked in, they took my stuff to the back room and out of sight to have a look at it. I was offered 1500 cash on the spot for everything but as I looked unconvinced they asked me to come back on Saturday to meet with another person. I went there on Saturday and they offered me 600 dollars for everything and a 50 dollar gift card. They took my stuff back and forth, in and out of the back room as other customers walked in and out the shop, this took about an hour of my time. The employee kept going back and forth saying my ring was bad quality and that they could take it on consignment to sell for 1500 and pay me half, that it could take months to sell and so on. In the end as I was walking out the store with my stuff, which by the way took me a while to get back from them, they offered me 800 cash and a 50 dollar gift card. I decided to go home and not sell because I felt that the price is way low and to be honest I rather walk out with my head held high than walk with 800 and the feeling of being ripped off. The first time the consignment was never mentioned nor the fact that they would pay half of what it was sold for. I know this is a business and it's how they make money, I'm not complaining about the employees who are just trying to make a buck as well but the lack of transparency and fair payment for good quality stuff left me really...
