“I had a very disappointing experience at this jewelry store. As soon as I walked in with my small dog, the Arabic speaking sales associate with very loud voice glanced at me, and it felt like I was being judged instantly based on my appearance and the fact that I had a dog with me. Instead of a friendly greeting or offer of assistance, she avoided eye contact and ignored me the entire time. I walked around, trying to get her attention, but she was clearly more interested in chatting with other customers and seemed to be going out of her way to avoid helping me.
I felt uncomfortable, unwelcome, and ultimately, disrespected. A jewelry store should be a place where everyone feels valued, regardless of how they look or who they’re with. I understand that some people may not appreciate pets, but a polite acknowledgment or explanation would have been far better than the cold shoulder. After a week, I contacted the store and they had no record of the purchase. I was referred to customer service, and was told that my online order had not been processed successfully.
