Vintage Sol Wellness — Attraction in Parksville

I cannot BELIEVE the interaction I overheard this morning from a couple at the front desk. I believe this all started over a scented wax warmer in the establishment. This couple proceeded to berate the owner over it. The conversation included these people saying all sorts of unhinged remarks which leads me to believe they are strong flat-earther anti-vaxxers shoving their opinions down every throat of their unsuspecting victims. They insisted on the owner changing their packages and advertising to suit them, refused to wear protective eyewear, mentioned reporting the salon to BBB, and said a remarkably rude statement about the owners deceased mother. This is a tanning salon. As soon as you walk in the door, your eyeballs can see, and your nostrils can smell, the shelves full of highly scented lotions. This leads me to believe this couple was there for a reaction, and I'm positive they've accosted many other business, in their words, "to educate". 5 Stars to the owner and the onlooking staff, to have to deal with such insufferable people! The situation was dealt with professionalism. My advice to this couple is to move to a country near the equator, where you don't speak the language so you can keep your "educated" opinions to yourself, and you will have all the natural UV rays you need, to expose your derrier sphincters to the God...

I moved from Vancouver to Qualicum Beach 4 months ago. Now, preparing for the "down South Vacation", I started to look for a nice, clean tanning salon to get the base for the real sun... Vintage Sol was one of 2 place highly recommended to me, however, some people had opposite reaction, claiming that the stuff lacks professional skills. I tried, purchased a package, re-purchased and stayed. And I would come back when the time comes. To get a professional and friendly attitude from anybody, I believe, we have to give first. Despite, if we are the customers or business people. Just because we are the customers, because we pay for the services, it doesn't make us kings of the planet. I tend to treat everybody with respect and most of the time it comes back ten fold. The rates are very reasonable and easily affordable. The manager, Mary is approachable, accessible and does what she can to make the costumer happy. She and her staff keeps the place spotless. Vintage Sol is a busy place, so the advanced booking is...

I was told that I could put my month pass on hold after covid hit then when I went back in the new owner told me i was fine to go for 18 days so I booked for today. When I went back to go for my tan the fat old lady that has worked there for 2 years "Jan" said I only have 9 min and I owe 100 Dollars from a pass I never used and refused to give me my money back or let me tan. They have no idea how to run a business or treat people . So now I'm out 125 and never got to tan ! This place is a joke and I wouldn't support this business! I got ripped off hard !
