Black's Distillery — Attraction in Peterborough

Saw this place while in town and swung by to check out it. Small batch distilleries are few and far between and it was worth the visit.

The gentleman on staff offered me a sampling of rye, whiskey and vodka, all of which were excellent. He was very knowledgeable and assured me that all the ingredients, including the glass bottles are locally sourced. Unfortunately, this means the product is expensive. I'm willing to pay more for high quality products which support the local economy so I purchased a 750ml bottle of 6-month aged white barley whiskey for about 50 dollars.

I really appreciated that the gentleman was able to tell me where I can find this product in Ottawa, so I can buy it again without making a trip to Peterborough. I recommend checking this place out if you're interested in tasting locally...

If recommend anyone that appreciates an authentic and delicious cocktail check this place out! Such an awesome spot for a truly unique beverage. It's not a typical place for a drink. This is where the liquor is made, and it's apparent that the owner takes serious pride in making great liquor and amazing drinks! The drinks were delicious, unique and we'll crafted.
