I absolutely love visiting Yaohan Food Court in Richmond! It’s truly a culinary paradise with an incredible variety of food and drink stalls that cater to every craving. Whether you're in the mood for authentic Asian cuisine, quick snacks, or refreshing beverages, this place has it all.
Some of the standout stalls include Lai Lai Bakery, famous for their freshly baked buns and traditional dim sum, and T&T Sushi, renowned for their high-quality, beautifully crafted sushi at very reasonable prices. For something spicy and flavorful, I always recommend Spicy House, which offers deliciously fiery Sichuan dishes. Don’t miss Bubble Tea King for their refreshing bubble teas, especially on hot days—they're a local favorite! The food court is also a must visit and they have a large variety of food stalls to choose from when you are on a budget, my all time favorite stalls are Chiu Chow Cuisine and Golden Rice Bowl and they are located adjacent to each other.
What makes Yaohan Food Court so popular is not just the incredible diversity of options but also the affordability. The large servings and reasonable prices make it perfect for families, students, and anyone looking for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Plus, the vibrant atmosphere and clean, spacious environment make dining here a truly enjoyable experience.
Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch, a casual dinner, or just want to explore a variety of Asian cuisines, I highly recommend Yaohan Food Court. It’s a must-visit spot that never...
Read more[Edit: Adjusting the rating because Impark later contacted me and issued a refund after I discussed the situation with them.]
I arrived at the mall early and decided to park and wait outside until it opened. When I got back to my car, I found a "parking notice" from Imperial Parking for $80. It read "PARKED BEFORE 8:30AM NOTALLOWED". They claim I was parked at 8:14am, a whopping 16 minutes before the store opened.
There were maybe 6 other cars in the entire lot at that time of day (it's pretty quiet in the morning). So I'm not sure what problem they're trying to solve here except needing to gin up extra revenue, at the cost of alienating their most motivated customers.
We're visiting from the United States (Bienvenue au Canada!), so I don't really have the time or energy to fight this. I tried to contact them via their website, but they ignored me.
So if you want to shop at Yaohan, I'd recommend the following:
Don't arrive early. Check the website to make sure you know the exact hours. Make it clear to anyone who might be watching that you are going straight from your car to the mall. Don't wait (as I did) outside the mall. If the mall happens to be closed, return to your car immediately, leave, and only return after it is open. Get your stuff, get a receipt, and get out. Keep the receipt until you are safely back at your car. While at Yaohan, don't linger, mingle, or Facebook.
Or, if all this sounds like too much of a hassle, you can just take your business...
Read moreWe came to mall for breakfast and shopping in Osaka supermarket, dropped my wife and kid off (going to the bank for cash), after parked my car in the shade, I walked to the bank to find my wife and kid, then we walked back to the Yaohan food court for breakfast, shopped in Osaka, my 4 year old even played on the none working riding toys in the mall. but after we drove our car away from the mall, we realized there was a ticket of penalty for $80, stating that we parked on their property! (We came from Victoria all the way here for shopping) We did call the Impark who issued the ticket, telling them what we did in the mall, but they claimed that only because I walked away from their lot for few minutes (for looking for my family), even though we could show them that we have receipt of shopping in their mall. SO please do not walk away from their lot for even a few minutes to find your family, because you were not allowed to go to the bank to get cash and come back to shop here. Shoppers be aware, this parking lot is not permitting you to come back to their business no matter what, if you against their rules, you will get...
