It’s very nice to walk around as well as look for various things too. Certain stores I’ve gone on most over the last 7 years. In particular London Drugs is my go to place & then Sports Closet (wish the store was a tad bigger because it’s really nice) I enjoyed going into Game City when it was here & that seasonal store usually here around Christmas. The food court I’ve spent a lot of time enjoying Timmy’s and sometimes A&W too. Done a lot of people watching basically and it’s always interesting to see how other families or people operate. My time in the St Albert Mall will be mostly coming to an end as next week I’ll be moving to Fort Saskatchewan to see what life has in store for me living in a one bedroom apartment and see what I can learn. But I do plan to come back to the mall every now and then as it’s an important destination for me over the last 7 years in particular and even further back when it was a Zellars. One of the reasons I’ll definitely need to return is #1 the eye place & LD. Also the Music store is awesome & St. Louis Bar and Grill was a brilliant addition to the mall. Cora’s too. I have seen lots of the staff to on my adventures to the mall and I appreciate each one of them and always try to do my part in making sure I don’t leave much of anything for them to clean up after me. But the Janitor or cleaning people wish I knew their names but when the pandemic kinda slowed down and regular stuff begun happening Again it was a pleasant feeling to see all the janitor’s and other staff back around the mall even if I’ve always been heavily shy to say anything. I’ve even enjoyed seeing the reoccurring elderly people on certain days it’s one of those things you take for granted almost until your about to move I guess. Anyways thank you St Albert Center it’s been a good 👍 few years & I’ll be back down the road but not as frequently. It’s not exactly goodbye but it’s just see ya next time whenever that will be. If your curious my name is Curtis Eldering I’m basically the silent but consistent people observing autistic fellow that has had a blast with this place even if I’m not all...
Read moreSanta Photo Experience was extremely disappointing. We showed up as walk-ins. We have four children who are ADHD and Autistic. While waiting in line we booked a reservation and paid for our package (just in case we had to wait an extended period of time) we had already been waiting for 30 minutes.
We ended up getting to see Santa before our reservation time. We advised the photographer that we actually have a reservation booked (just in case) and had already paid for our package. She was SO RUDE. I got reprimanded because she had “other reservations that she could have taken before us” (which would have been fine with us-we were in the standby line- we understood what that meant). She then asked me if I wanted to see the photos. I said “ No thank you, please just print the best ones”. She snapped “Already done.” - Okay?
Overall- crap...
Read moreThe recent renovations have brought some life into this sleepy mall. It is still not a mall in which I feel like people would frequent much.
Perhaps the problem is most people living in St. Albert commute to Edmonton. With West Edmonton Mall and the recently renovated Kingsway mall being quick stops for most commuters with a more extensive selection of stores and boutiques.
A lot of the stores in St. Albert Centre have more visible and convenient alternatives in St. Albert. There are not too many headliner stores which bring people to the mall. Sport Chek being the most popular I would think.
Overall I think they're on the right track. These renovations should hopefully bring more people to the mall which can show tenants that St. Albert can support a mall. Hopefully, this will lead to more flagship stores...
