Horrible customer service by a young woman by the name of Argun (spelling may be incorrect ) and manager Cory or Cody (can't remember the name.) I purchased 3 items, one of which i kept. 2 items I needed to return. One of the items was unopened and still fully sealed in its package (other item was not sold in a package). The young lady advises me "next time you want to buy something and return it, the packaging must be in good condition." I was dumbfounded- the item was in it's original package, unopened, handed to me from a sales representative the day I bought it (less than 24 hours prior to returning). I advised the young lady the item was not even opened and handed to me by one their agents (the top corner of the package was slightly bent ...). She was very rude and advised that she'll make an exception.. I asked for what since the item was in its original packaging. I could not understand what her lecture was about. She also proceeded to tell me that if I plan on buying a product and returning it I shouldn't purchase it??? I asked to speak to the manager to fully understand what the stern warning was about. When he showed up he was no happier than the young lady. He asked what the problem was and when I started to explain, he interrupted me and said "what's your question, why am I here ." I attempted again to explain the product I'm returning is unopened and sealed and I don't understand the issue." He states "ya whatever, we're making an exception and I don't know what you want or what your problem is." Flabbergasted- as I shop at party city frequently (since it opened as we live a block over) and this is the first time I've experienced such terrible customer service. If Cory/Cody is not happy dealing with customers and their concerns /questions perhaps he should be in the...
Read moreI rarely write bad reviews honestly … just let it go, is my life policy, but this was wild. Young man talking on his phone as he approached us at the till. I asked if was talking to me (maybe I missed something). He just laughed and rang my things in. Then I asked if there was a loyalty program. Another gal had to delete my whole order, and ring in again. The young man stood behind her texting. Wow. Then I picked up my phone to check the time, the woman at the till said curtly, “Did you just take my picture?” I said No but she kept at it, arguing. Crazy making. She then called her manager for him to oversee the sale. Whaaa? I said maybe that would perhaps be a good idea and she said I could talk to him. I told the manager about what transpired and he just looked at me. I commented on the concern about that kind of customer service and the only thing he said was to the gal, “Do you want my to ring that through?” That’s it. The girl look satisfied that her manager obviously didn’t care what we had to say. My husband and I are gob smacked. What is this world of service and work coming to. And the whole time, as I looked right at the young man who was on his phone, he just smiled like “whatever lady”. Seems, as I read these reviews for the first time … there’s a theme. Party City is this your standard or is it time for a staff switch up. With so many looking for work perhaps there are those who would care about their jobs. This can’t be the...
Read moreWe came in the store and my son chose a costume that has an on sale tag on. My husband paid with his watch and didn’t realize it charged him the full price until we left the store so we came back. The young man at the till was very nice and called another staff ( he said it’s his manager who was a young Indian woman) to check for us. The woman said the on sale price was actually for one size only and the size we bought was not on sale. I didn’t remember it says that on the packaging and she said do you want me to go confirm with you? I said ok let’s go confirm. We went to the costume area and I was checking. She then said : can you read?? What do you mean can I read? Of course I can read, I looked closely with the sku number and found out that above the on sale price there is a serial number that represents the size L. So I said it was very confusing for the customer. She said if you don’t want it I can refund it to you. This is not the customer service you should be offering! It looked like she didn’t even care. Instead of taking the initiative and trying to explain to the customer how to find out which price is for which size, she chose to question the customer can they read? If that’s the standard of your customer service, you will be losing customers… I refunded it and chose to buy it on Amazon. I don’t mind the price difference but the customer service you offered made me leave...
