This place is AWESOME.
It's a true build-your-own sort of place with the options put into your hands. They properly label what has Gluten-Friendly, is Vegan, etc. The portions are pretty good for the prices as a bowl that weighs a pound and a half is gonna run you about $13 with basic options and for extra proteins your looking at $14 - $17, but it's an insane amount of food. At traditional Indian Restaurants you will pay roughly $10 - $11 for your main curry and another $10 - 15 on the proper sides and naan. With this place, you get all of that in a fusion-style build-your-own with generous options. The sauces are unique, not traditional but very delicious and the quality of ingredients are quite good.
I suggest getting double protein in the bowl, unless you get the garbanzo beans. It's still cheap in comparison for very good food served very quickly. They have their business model very well tuned in.
It's sorta become my new favourite and all it took was one bowl and a salad to convince me. It's simply good quality, healthier alternative fusion food with a lot of options and flavours at a very reasonable price.
Another good thing is this place is very quick to serve -- if you go the SkipTheDishes route, your food will always arrive hot...
Read moreIt’s the Indian Chipotle! Wish we had more of these in the US because this was SO GOOD!
Stopped by here on the way from Vancouver to Seattle, and it’s worth the stop. Surrey is also a city that I wanted more time in, very cool place.
Ordered the burroti (chicken/lamb) and it was magnificent. Super savory, rich, and each bite got better. If you are venturing out and aren’t typically a spice person, aim for getting the tikka and butter chicken sauces - they have the slightest spice kick and are ridiculously yummy. ALSO - would highly recommend the peach/mango chutney! It is highly favored at the restaurant and adds so much complexity to your meal.
The staff was super patient and friendly, and took their time with us as we ordered. We love Indian food, and this stop will be one we have again if we’re ever...
Read moreI have ordered from here several times. I did not realize I had yet to review the place. It is always consistent. I am impressed with this concept. I have been wanting this type of food for decades. Thank you for bringing it to South Surrey. There are many fresh high quality ingredients available. It is not like generic tasteless fast food ingredients. I am glad they do not use nuts in their sauces as my child is allergic.
To the person that reviewed and said it is not authentic - well yeah, it is not a Punjabi restaurant - it is a fusion concept.
The review by Maria sounds fake.
The prices are surprisingly low for the quality too. Finally, there is a tall gentlemen who is often there and I find that he treats the place as his own and takes care of...
