This was one of my favorite places to grab food and chat with my friends. I'm not sure I will be coming back often anymore. We decided a couple days ago on the 7th of Feburary 2020 at about 4pm that we wanted to smoke a joint and get taco bell. A common thing for us to do, and never had problems before. We went to the exit beside Zeteca that you can use to get to the skating rink. Everyone smokes there and the signs say no smoking within 9 meters of an entrance. So we don't have a meter stick or anything but we all felt we were at least 9 meters away. We light the joint and almost instantly a security woman comes outside and tells us to leave and points at a no smoking sign that states 9 meters so we're like "oh sorry" because we thought that we were wrong on our guestimate of 9 meters, mind you it's legal to smoke weed anywhere that smoking cigarettes is legal. No. She wanted us to leave the property. We walked a little away, she stood there and watched us. Told us to move again when we slowed down. Watched us until we left the property. We told her she was harassing us, she said something about having the ability to get us banned. For... Moving when you asked us to? For making us leave property when we don't have to? Taco Bell didn't get our money that day. I'm also going to find out how to report her because she should not be working here. Thank you for coming to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a horrible experience here tonight. I noticed a man staring at me while in line for the self checkout at Metro and while I was scanning my items he left but stood just outside the store to continue staring at me. Iām a young woman and I was alone and felt unsafe. I notified an employee helping at the self checkout about the situation and he told me to wait around after I paid for my groceries and he would let someone know. I do thank him for this help. However, shortly after that, the man came back inside the store and got in my face and continued even after I told him no and asked him to stop or leave multiple times. Not once did anyone step in to help. I looked around for someone to help and saw a SECURITY GUARD was watching the whole thing, I waved at him for help and he did absolutely NOTHING. He just kept watching. Why hire security guards if they donāt do their job? Considering he was already watching, I shouldnāt have even had to wave for help⦠not that it did anything. Not one person stepped in to help or ask if I was okay afterwards. While the man did end up leaving and Iām okay, I am shocked at the lack of humanity and lack of responsibility from all bystanders, other employees, and the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNew food court seating but same old tired food court stalls and most closed up. College Park is actually the original Eatonās store. Believe it or not Eatonās was the first retailerto actually use price tags. Prior to that, everything was done out of the merchants call on what the price was. The building has a beautiful art deco design. There is an amazing venue, called the Carlu on the top floor for events and weddings. Most people confuse the building next door (777 Bay) as part of college park. It is not. They are two separate buildings. So the Dollarama, the LCBO and the service Ontario office are not truly part of College Park, however, they are attached. You can access the Aura building (Yonge and Gerard) through college park (although a bit awkward) which is a broken part of the PATH which will hopefully be connected to the Eaton center someday.
The plug in the basement level reads: EATON'S- COLLEGE STREET STORE BUILT 1928-30 ROSS 8 MAGDONALD, SPROATT B ROLPE ARCHITECTS DESIGNATED UNDER THE ONTARIO...
