Located just behind the Fort York Historic Site, the Fort York Visitor Centre is a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and curious minds alike! What sets it apart is that it offers more than just history; it covers a range of engaging topics such as fashion, COVID-19, and the arts. The Visitor Centre at Fort York houses an impressive exhibit space, including a 2,900 square foot Exhibit Gallery. One of the highlights is the 'immersive experience' exhibit that takes visitors through the events leading up to the Battle of York and the explosion of the fort's Grand Magazine. I highly recommend visiting the Visitor Centre, especially if you've already explored the nearby heritage site. It provides a fantastic opportunity to delve deeper into various subjects in a comfortable indoor setting. During our visit, we did encounter a minor setback as some of the audio and video devices were not functioning properly, which limited our participation in the exhibition. However, despite this small hiccup, the overall experience was still remarkable. If you're looking for an amazing indoor experience that goes beyond traditional historical exhibitions, the Fort York Visitor Centre is the place to be. Don't miss the opportunity to explore the fascinating displays and learn something new!

Beautiful historical site at the heart of downtown Toronto! Everyone who lives in Toronto/GTA and all visitors should come here to pay a visit! Their staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and provided me a deeper appreciation on the history of Toronto. It is easily accessible by street car or there are ample of parking right on the historical site! Take your kids with you! My 14 and 11 years old really enjoyed it! We spend about 2.5 hours there but we feel that we can spend more time here!

Well maintained historical museum and provided quiet of details about the War of 1812, learned some Canadian history.
