Second edit: asked for a bank draft and wrote down the amount for 37 and the name of the payable. She printed the receipt paper to double check the info I wrote down was right or not. First print, she put down 87 instead 37, and was surprised herself when I mentioned that it was wrong, mentioning that’s why we ask you to double check. Second print, she put the name with a period instead of a dash and an extra “o”, even though I have very legible hand writing.
Edit: gave 5 stars before. Now will give 2 stars because still convenient, but their mortgage department is horrible. We just wanted a pre-approval. Guy who met up with us went over everything, but system failed on him and he got back a week later, but then told us that he actually is moving onto another position, but will transition everything over to a new guy. New guy didn’t contact us until 2 weeks later, gave him the documents we needed like 2-3 weeks later cuz we were busy, still haven’t heard back from the guy. It’s be like 4-5 months…so in my experience, I was just pre-approval shopping, but maybe I should just go only back to my mortgage broker. “We will try to be beat rates on the market right now”, useless if no one is getting anything back to you. I don’t understand how this branch is still functioning for the mortgage side, and I 1000% understand why mortgage brokers exist.
The location is relatively quiet most of the time when I go in. I’m usually the only customer in the branch when I visit, but it’s pretty nice that there’s a location in this area. They are also super dog-friendly, always have dog treats ready for the doggos. Read moreI would give this branch a 0 if I could. I went to this bank to perform a simple wire transfer and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had as a TD customer. The individual who was responsible for approving the wires (the manager I presume) needs to be either fired immediately or be given more training in customer service and removed from his managerial role as he is clearly unqualified.
I verified my identify by pin and provided photo ID but was denied the transaction because the address on my ID didn’t match the address on my account profile even though they had my ID on file (albeit my ID had expired so this was the first time I went into a branch to have my ID updated but all the information matched the one on file except for the expiration date).
The individual (he didn’t have a name tag) proceeded to complicate my life even though I offered to verify my identity using my other TD cards, logging into my Online Banking, and calling my home branch manager to verify. Even so he said no as if he was ego tripping. If I provided ID, was Pin verified, knew the address they had on file even though it didn’t match the one on my ID, there was no reason to suspect that I wasn’t the account holder.

Read moreZero stars. Nobody at this bank knows how the credit card balance transfers work. I don't think this is specific to this branch, since I was in another and three women working at another branch couldn't explain it either (Windsor, Grand Marais location).
The girl was late for taking me in on the appointment and at the start of it, told me the balance transfer was only good for my previous card (even though it was the same account, just a new number was issued due to fraud charges). She told me to call someone (TD visa cards?) , and I asked if she could do it and then somehow she all the sudden saw that the offer was available. She was really proud of herself for finding the offer that should have been easily visible to anyone that knows press buttons on a computer.
I had separate issue with a global transfer from 2 weeks ago and the guy I spoke with said he would personally call me to explain the status. Of course, he never called me. When I called to make an appointment for the balance transfer clown show, the man I spoke with said he didn't call back cause that guy had left TD. When I went in today, I saw that guy that was supposed to call me back...guess he quit and came back?
