We had a great experience at the Four Seasons Toronto. Arrival was chaotic as there were a lot of cars backed up for valet, but once we got through , we were greeted very nicely by the valet who arranged our bags to be brought to our room. Check in was lack lustre and kind of expected an intro of the hotel and amenities. Arrived at the room and since we specified when we were arriving, was hoping the lights in the room would be on (like ritz or shangri la does) but not a huge deal. The room was beautifully kept and was sparklingly clean. There were a lot of little things about the room that made it extra nice. Like having the shower drain in the corner of the shower instead of the middle where you need to stand on it. Or my cell phone cable being wrapped up by housekeeping in a four seasons tie up. Little things make the difference. I will say all the staff (with the exception of the restaurant hostesses) were very very friendly and accommodating, and most of all I would say very professional. The restaurant onsite was .... OK. We expected a bit better but was still good. Breakfast was our first experience which almost had us canceling our dinner reservations for that night if it wasn’t bad weather. Hostess greeted us rudely and acknowledged people behind us, before us. We asked for our dinner reservations to be confirmed, and she said she would seat us and come back and let us know. She never did. The food at breakfast was cold, and the French toast was undercooked heavily. Had to ask three times for my coffee to be refilled. They finally came over as we were getting up to leave to refill. Dinner was much much better. Hostess was still unfriendly. But the service and food for dinner was impeccable. We enjoyed the dinner very much and would certainly return for it. Never again for breakfast - $140 for a cold breakfast that’s supposed to be hot. The pool on site is beautiful and very relaxing. There was a very disgusting grime build up on the hot tub that had us leave the area immediately however. Cleaning in this area is poor , unlike the rest of the hotel which is spotless. Check out was easy and the car was waiting for us when we came down. Valets were friendly. Only comment is that I have never used an upscale hotel valet that didn’t offer me water or coffee upon departure. This was a bit disappointing as I just expect a bit more from a place like this. With all that said. It’s still 5*. It was a great stay with some things to work on. Biggest complaint by far is your restaurant hostesses. It doesn’t take much effort to be pleasant or nice.

This was my first time staying at the Four Seasons Toronto, and unfortunately, I found the attention to detail for a supposedly high-end hotel to be lacking when compared to the other high-end hotel options in Toronto The Good: All staff that we interacted with were very professional and polite. Cafe Boulud was a great place for breakfast. The food was excellent, and the server was very attentive and professional My wife very much enjoyed her massage experience. The heated and adjustable massage table was very good, and the RMT did an excellent job. The Bad: The room: Sharp/lumpy objects are stuck under the carpet. Like stepping on a Lego piece. Some of the furniture is passed its expirey dating and peeling apart. (See pics) makes the room feel "cheap" Light in the bar cupboard does not turn off and will stay on all night while trying to sleep. The automatic switch appears to be broken. It's not the best surprise when you get in late and just want to go to bed. A mess of cables/wires underneath the desk. It's not an issue for adults, but definitely don't bring children. The Pool: When I went down to the pool, nobody explained where anything was. Entrance, change rooms, steam rooms, etc. I was left wandering on my own, not sure of where to find anything. Nobody mentioned that the hot tub was closed. Not at booking, check-in, or the pool/spa staff. The whole reason I like to book these more expensive hotels is for their pool/spa services and was very disappointed to find an empty/dry hot tub. The hot tub wasn't cordoned off. It's just a giant hole that somebody could easily fall into. I'm pretty sure this violates health and safety code. A fall into the empty hot tube would not be an ideal situation for the hotel. Management seems to have dropped the ball on ensuring these little details are taken care of. I was expecting better from Four Seasons. My recommendation is for anyone looking for a luxurious hotel stay in Toronto to look at the other options in the city where we did not encounter these issues.

Stayed at this location for a few days for my anniversary and everything was amazing and expected for FS. They upgraded our room and had a sweet treat congrats for our anniversary and dog treats for our fur babies. The service from valet to front desk to housekeeping and the staff at the restaurants was superb except one area. Especially the guy in valet with a hat and vest and a welcoming smile at all times as well as Rahan at DBAR. This prime location is so perfect for all needed amenities, endless food options and shopping. All within walking distance. We ate at Cafe Boulud and had their tasting menu with the 5 course and it was delicious. The music at Dbar was really good. Breakfast in the room was good. The gym area is nice and spacious and the pool was amazing. My only 3 complaints would be the front desk girls at the spa that asked us for our name and room to confirm if we had, ”access to the pool” which was very awkward as we wish it was a seperate area for the pool for guests with a card scan option like gym/elevator. Not sure how many people wearing FS robes try to sneak in to use the ammenties…. and as we left yesterday morning after our morning swim we were greeted with no smile or have a nice day as we left- it wasn’t busy. The attendees in the change room were fantastic. Training is definitely needed with the young girls at the spa at the front desk. Very disappointing service here. Everything else has been top notch except the service at the front desk at the spa. Also the Spa robes in the room would be nicer as they are super soft and comfortable and not as bulky. I see I am not the only ones who think that. Lol. Lastly, a seperate pet relief area in the hotel would be nice as we had to walk our pups across the street to a park with grass at the back door multiple times a day. Even something like at the airport with the fake turf would be a nice and convenient option for owners with pets. We will definitely be back. Love it here!!!!

This hotel has degraded to the point that it is not fair to consider it a Four Seasons hotel, Never mind the flagship. The rooms are in disrepair—Leaking and moldy showers, damaged woodwork, holes in sheets, worn out old furniture, shoddy wiring, weird stains on the wall, phones in barely or not at all working condition. One of our sinks was leaking so bad it flooded the bathroom and our items on the lower shelf—we spent quite a bit of our vacation in frustration trying to function in a disaster of a room (I wish I’d had a picture, but we were frantic drying the space to save our saturated toiletries, etc) My brand new heel was also damaged due to a weird hole in the floor between the rug and the wood—it was very difficult to remove, I hope this was a fluke and not something another person experiences in the future. Some of the staff is inattentive and verging on rude. The communication is incredibly lacking. Some of the staff are still lovely, but honestly, this hotel is not aligned with the service standards one comes to expect at the Four Seasons. The housekeeping staff are wonderful. Front desk—especially the lovely women who checked us in and out—are wonderful as well. The spa and the spa staff are also lovely. Dbar is always great. Cafe Boulud was good, but not as good as it usually is—but no complaints. This hotel needs to get it together. They’re piloting a new type of bed, and that is cool, but honestly, without the functioning room and excellent service, it makes one wonder why they’re putting money into tech, when the core Four Seasons values are completely lacking here. My last few stays at this location have been getting progressively worse. I cried on this stay as so many things were just wrong. I will not be returning. As someone who stays at FS hotels 10-12 times a year, i wish they even cared…. But they do not. I look forward to trying out the other Hotels Toronto has to offer in the future.

I chose this hotel mostly for Cafe Boulud as the Maison Boulud in Montreal is wonderful. Making a dining reservation on the portal was difficult and took 2 days of futile attempts. Making a breakfast reservation was even worse. Finally, I emailed and was told they were fully booked. Odd that an overnight guest is not afforded some leeway so I called the hotel directly and was successful. One shouldn't have to "work" so hard to be accommodated. The dining room was not full at breakfast, in fact, when I arrived, there were only 2 tables occupied and when I left, 4. Accessible door button at the front door did not work, doorman was overwhelmingly busy with luggage for other guests. The hand sanitiser machine was empty. The room was not ready when I arrived precisely at check in time even though I pre checked in during my long journey on the train. I waited for over 75 minutes. Other 5 star hotels in Toronto will immediately check you in to an upgraded suite. I was repeatedly told "15 more minutes!" The lobby is a dark maze of hallways. Not very inviting. The noise level is deafening, especially in the dining room as the architectural design is open to the bar downstairs. No complaints about the restaurant dinner, other than the dress code is so lax that tattered jeans and sweat shirts are apparently acceptable. The decor is tired and old. Worn upholstery and the colour choices are not pleasing at all. One of the best Foie Gras I have ever had. Pretty good wine by the glass choices. The fish was overcooked. The Grapefruit Givre was fun. The room was clean and well appointed with a lovely large bath tub, nice soaps etc. and soft towels. Nespresso machine (with coffee mate?) and a few tea choices. The window kept making a banging noise, I assume from contraction from the sun. I won't return.
