I would 100% recommend going to Greg to design your diamond ring. We went to him for my engagement ring - I knew I wanted to work with a lab diamond (for ethical and $$ reasons - they're about 30% cheaper than mined diamonds so you get more bling for your buck) and a google search showed that Greg worked with lab diamonds (I think he also has mined diamonds but I'm not totally sure). We reached out to him and he was very quick about replying and setting up an appointment. During our appointment, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He asked what we were looking for then took out a couple of diamonds that fit that description. I had already done a lot of research into the 4 C's but he was really great at explaining what you want to look for in each, so I learned more that day. We were able to look at the diamonds under a magnifying glass to see any inclusions. Let me tell you, though Greg said that one of them had a little "feathering" inclusion, I could not even see it with the magnifying glass. He only picks great quality diamonds. I had previously been to a lot of the mall stores where you can see flecks and stuff even with the naked eye, so this was a huge difference. When he told us the price for the diamond we wanted, we were very happy. Much cheaper than we'd been quoted for some of those same poor quality diamonds at the mall (of course, being a lab diamond helps). We then talked about the design of the band. I showed him a picture that I liked and he reassured us that he could definitely create something similar (spoiler alert: what he created looked EXACTLY like this picture. It was perfect). I chose something with little diamonds on the side as well as hand engraving. He then explained to us that he would make a "rendering" which is a colourful image design of the ring, at which point we could make any changes we wanted. That came pretty quickly (within a week if I recall). We gave him the go ahead to have it made. This part took a little longer than expected because of the hand engraving - it's an art, and sometimes art takes a little longer than planned. I think we were told at first that the whole process would take a month (which was way shorter than we expected) and all in all I think it was closer to two months (which was still totally fine). We told him at the beginning that we were not in any rush, so I imagine that if there had been a time crunch, Greg would have planned around it and there would have been no concern. Greg also makes sure to let you know that you can come back any time for complimentary cleaning (he recommends once a year) and said that if any of the small side stones fell out (which is rare) he would replace them at no cost. So he doesn't just give you the ring and then peace out - he's there for the long haul. Anyway, I absolutely love my ring, I get so many compliments on how unique it is, and I spend a good portion of my day just staring at it. We will definitely be returning to Greg for any future diamond...

Greg far exceeded my expectations with regards to 3 custom rings (1 engagement, 2 wedding bands); however, what truly stands out is not the final product (which is amazing) but rather the process Greg takes you on.

He goes above and beyond to invest into you as a customer. What I mean by this is that Greg takes the time to educate you on the industry as a whole, his company, the process, and is more than willing to answer any questions you may have at any time. He does all of this without any commitments from you monetarily or otherwise, and even if you do not make a purchase, after meeting Greg you will be more informed and prepared to make smart purchasing decisions.

My absolute favorite part of the entire process is working with Greg to design the rings. He is a great listener and is able to translate your thoughts effectively into a great design. It’s also really helpful when you can touch and feel loose stones and example settings, as you really begin to understand what it takes to put a ring together. As a next step, you work with Greg to review 3D renderings of your design and have an opportunity to make sure all the fine details that truly make your ring unique are taken care of (the graphics are pretty cool too).

It’s at this point in the process you leave things in Greg’s very capable hands. He provides frequent updates on the progress of your rings, and he is sure to follow-up if there are questions about the details – I really appreciate that he doesn’t make any assumptions on your behalf and that he ensures you are comfortable throughout the entire process.

In the end, what you are left with is something truly unique and something you really feel you’ve had a part in putting together (as opposed to just picking out something off of a retail store shelf).
