DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!
I simply bought a metal bed frame from the store. I was specifically looking for one that had wheels and not legs. At the store right beside this one I was offered a bed frame for $50 but it had legs. This store said that they had the one with wheels for $60 all included. After I paid the lady and got home, to my surprise it had no wheels, it had legs.
I called the store and was told to call back in 20 minutes when the manager arrives. I told the rep that I needed to speak to someone right now as I'm currently setting up the bed and don't know how to proceed. I said could you please take down my info, call the manager and tell him to call me back asap. The rep told me he was busy with other customers and hung up. After calling back about 5 times in a row, finally a manager picks up the phone. I tell him what has happened, and he tells me that the frame does not come with the wheels and thats that.
I told him I want a refund. After coming to the store he starts doing calculations based on the fact that I could have bought the same frame at the store next door for $50. He starts giving me a difference of about $3. I said I want the $10 that I could have saved if I bought it next door. He said I would have had to pay taxes and based on that that's why I'm only getting $3. I told him that ridiculous, how could you assume the guy was going to charge me taxes and not just take the $50. He starts arguing with me and it gets heated. I tell him about the experience I had on the phone and he tells me that no it couldn't have happened that way. I said I was on the phone I know better and that the rep hung up on me. He kept on saying the rep was with him for a long time and only has good reviews. I told him once again the rep hung up on me, to which he tried making different excuses never once even attempting to recognise that the rep could have hung up.
Long story short he told me that he didn't need my business and to get out. I stated we were both lucky to live in Canada, as anywhere else in the world people would have acted differently to his actions. I tried to calm down and not resort to violence as I felt betrayed and mistreated by this owner. I said when could he get the wheels. He finally ended up getting the wheels and I picked them up recently, having to return the legs that were given initially.
He does not care about customers and or their experience at the store. Of-course the asian rep has no bad reviews as the owner simply does not care to listen to them. There are a million stores out there, this is the one to avoid.
Also notice how they have no reviews, how is that possible for a business that sells furniture not to have a single review. When they get enough bad reviews they simply find a way to delete all of them and appear as if they...
   Read moreI wanted to purchase a set of dining chair from this store(one at Kennedy Road). I placed an order for 4 chairs. They didnât have the color(Black) I wanted. Mr. Param told me it will be ready in a week to be picked up. I paid the deposit. One week pass by I didnât receive any call from him. After 9 days I called him. He said that he thought he called me and told me about the order. He continued that the supplier doesnât have the same chair. But they have similar one except the base was slightly different. He sent me a picture. I asked him if the material of the surface is same as the one in the showroom. He said it is. I asked him to order one chair so the I can see and approve it. He rejected my request. He guaranteed me that it is the same chair as the one in the showroom except the base. I took his word and placed the order. It took another week and a half to get the delivery. When I opened the box I was shocked. The quality of the material was ridiculously garbage. I called him and complained. His answer was he thought it was same because it is from the same supplier. I said I want the showroom chair in black or I want the money back. Initially he said he canât do much about it because he is just a middle man. I had to argue with him. He said he is going to check with the supplier to find out what to do with the situation. After few days he called and said that they found a set of chair that I wanted. Finally I got the chair I wanted. I totally did not like the service he provided. I ordered furniture in January (paid 50% deposit) and called in mid April to ask why it was taking longer than expected. The call was unfriendly from the person who answered telling me Iâm interrupting their day. They said they would let me know the next day. I called back a few days later as I didnât get a call back to be told a bunch of reasons why theyâre delayed and told they would call me within 2 days.
I got that call and told my delivery would be that next coming Thursday and that I needed to pay the balance. I paid the balance and there was no delivery. I called in and they said they didnât have the furniture in yet. I asked why they lied the week before and they said that never happened. They then rescheduled the delivery to the following week which again didnât happened. I then demanded the furniture or my money back and they told me one last date. They gave me a window of delivery from 12-5 and missed it. When I called they said there was changes and the window is now 4-6. This too was missed. The furniture showed up around 7pm after 3 calls in that day.
It is your responsibility to follow up with them on everything. They have no proactive problem solving abilities or policy. They never initiated a single call on any delay.
