Don't let its small size deceive you; not only does this shop sell some incredibly fresh produce (as other reviewers have mentioned) but also a wide variety of "ethnic" ingredients that I was pleasantly surprised to find at what I had assumed was a small corner shop.
For some reason they carry a good amount of Japanese products (not that I'm complaining of course, I'm glad that I don't have to embark on a mission just to make miso soup!) They also carry some dried chili peppers as well as some whole spices which I have trouble finding at conventional supermarkets. You can probably find those for cheaper at say, Kensington Market but honestly the convenience of not having to travel is worth it.

Read moreI'm not sure why the ratings are so high for this supermarket, but I've encouraged nothing but disrespect, micro aggression etc at this supermarket. Today I went there to pick up fruits and vegetables and the store clerk or owner told another customer to watch me, and she said it loud enough for me to hear, she then yelled at me to use a basket although I didn't need one. The cut fruit has saved me on hot summer days, the pre cut/portioned veggies are a life saver for lazy dinners, and the non-perishables they have in stock are way more extensive than your average produce place.
