Value Village — Attraction in Toronto

They have some nice items. Not a lot of larger items as the only space they seem to have for them is at the front of the store piled by the checkout. You can find some good deals but a LOT of stuff is severely over priced. I have seen things that i know for a fact can be purchased brand new for eaqual or less. ex. A small 10g aquarium with hood and nothing else for $60!!! Unbelievable because you can get one new for under $20) I don't even bother shopping here for clothes anymore, it's cheaper to go to the mall and get something new in most cases. It is really sad I thought thses places were supposed to be here for low income families to get things that they need but it's just a money grab, they get items donated for free by caring people only to charge...

i came there on October 31 2019 on Halloween Evening around 5:30 pm

it was very busy and hectic inside. it was Dark and Raining outside and there was a Huge Puddle of Rain at the front door on the Exit side.

when i was leaving i tried to step over the puddle and slipped and fell and heard 3 cracks in my left knee. the Manager who is very kind gave me a chair to sit on. went to the hospital and now i have to go for knee surgery which will cost me a pretty penny to get there and back.

[I Strongly Suggest that whoever owns the Building should get the Front area flattened]. so the rain water goes down the street and doesn't create a small pool.

I have purchased some yarn from this store, the quality was terrible and easily breakable. I was knitting something, then half-way through, the yarn broke and completely destroyed what I was trying working on. To add on, I didn’t purchase a lot of yarn and it costed approximately over $25, which was definitely not worth the amount paid. I strongly dislike this, since I know that it is a second-handed store, this quality still shouldn’t be sold to those. Although I spent some money, returns weren’t allowed as well as trading the items, allowing others not to receive their money back and spending it for no exact purpose. I will not be buying such quality items from this...
