We were happy to get a seat at this ever so booked up restaurant. We attempted a few weeks ago doing a walk in but the wait was over 1 hour and I know why after dining here for the first time.
We were leaving downtown Vancouver and on the way I checked to see if there was availability on google. I clicked "wait list" and said there was no wait. Upon entering about 11:45am it did look full but there a couple of 2 seaters available. Woo hoo!
The ambiance was cozy, warm and relaxed. The music choice was good which helped set the mood.
Due to Covid-19 each table was separated with plexiglass where tables were closer. All staff wore masks.
The menu is quite extensive and happy I was able to choose a dish that fit my dietary needs. We love the Korean influence weaved into some of the menu items.
We ordered: beef bulgogi hash poached egg omelette
My hubby had the beef bulgogi hash. He actually said this dish "wowed" his tastebuds and this doesn't happen often. His expression as he devoured the meal got me a bit jealous . He did give me a bite to try and I agree the flavour was to really tasty. I would asked for more but I need to watch sugar intake.
I had the poached egg omelette. I eat a lot of omelettes but my goodness, this by far is the best omelette I've ever had! The sundried tomato pesto with the mixture of egg, cheese, spinach and chicken made flavour profile perfect. The chicken had some skin on which gives flavour and juiciness. The sourdough bread (my only bread option under dietary restriction) paired nicely. I would order this dish again!
We chatted with a staff member upon payment and he was super friendly. We believe he may be the owner but regardless we would definitely be...

It's a very local hipster style join, and you can feel it by first walking in. They are welcoming and friendly, but the standard and quality entirely reflect your typical even stereotyped neighbourhood diner. Sometimes, with places like that, standards tend to slip, because the majority of diners who tend to be locals choose to love the place in spite of its quirks.
It was a very wet day that morning and naturally the floor was wet and I nearly slipped inside. Perhaps mop the floor dry when mother nature decides to join us inside?
I wanted a latte and asked our friendly server if he'd recommend a second shot as I like my coffee strong, and I was told it already came with two shots. It didn't. It was one shot at most.....and tasting mainly of just hot soy milk made into a pretty shape. Personally, I don't care how pretty my morning coffee is....it could look like a troll, but if it's strong...it's got my vote. Moving on......
The Egg Avocado Toast was ok....some red onions, radish and drizzles of balsamic on there. I tend to gravitate more toward a "less is more", and "minimalist" but quality approach. So, I could've gone without the fresh onion and balsamic on my palate first thing in the morning.
You know, when I was in college I remember every serving job I had.....we had to clean the table with both a wet cloth and a dry one... to ....well....dry it. We sat down at a wet table...another thing I could've gone without.
Breakfast Table was worth trying for the first time. Interesting experience. Never been to a hipster.....well anything.....it was different. Will there be a second time?...
Read moreI went there with a friend on Oct 29th, 2023. They don't have a reservation system and their waitlist system is not functional. We got on the waitlist and they told us it will take 30-40 min. without receiving any notification, we returned after 40 min and asked how much longer is it gonna take and they said an additional 20-30 min. By the time we sat, it was 70 min after we put our name down. We would have never waited 70 min if we knew earlier.
While waiting, my friend got a a cup of coffee from a nearby cafe, and the couldn't finish it before we were seated. The Breakfast table staff were so eager to not to let him bring his cup in while not accepting responsibility in wasting hour time by lying about the wait time.
Once seated, the menu was fine, there was nothing crazy about it. I ordered just eggs, bacon and sausage plate. except the sausage, the other stuff didn't taste anything special. Compared to similar brunch places in Vancouver, there is an unnecessary hype about this place.
The last issue I had was I ordered sunny side up eggs with runny yolks but what I got was a half cooked egg with clearly uncooked egg whites. It is a skill to make a perfect egg with runny yolk and they failed in the first try. When I returned the plate, they started claiming we make out eggs like this and blah blah blah. At least they made a new one.
overall, I wouldn't recommend this place. There many more hidden gems and/or popular places you can try with better...
