We got the New Year's 6 courses menu during New Year's eve. Food overall was good however the service was terrible. First of all, my seafood stater had sands in both of the scollap and the oyster, I had to spit them out. We supposed that it wasn't cleaned properly but ok mistake happens. We didn't request replacement or refund or anything, we just called a server who was working at the bar over and asked for an explanation. However, instead of apologizing or checking with the chef, she staight up told us that thier seafood are all unwashed and SUPPOSED to be sandy. Her attitude was ridiculous. Server at our table didn't care about anything but selling wine. I explained to her that we don't drink when she first asked, but she still came back to ask us again if we want wine. And it was the only time she ever came back to the table. She never came back to refill the water for even once, had to call her over every single time. There was one time she literally dropped off our food, said nothing and left. We had to call her back to ask which course it was and what it was. Service was also very slow, after we sat down for over an hour, all we got was the seafood starter and a salad course. However, except the starter, the rest of the courses were all delicious. My only complain was just that I couldn't really taste the truffle for the truffle cheese bread, although I still liked the dish. 1 star service and 5 star food, overall a 3 star.

Overall the food was fairly average tasting and on the salty side. The salads were quite plain and didn't seem to have a lot of thought or creativity. The bread which for some reason took a very long time (arrived 20 mins after the salads) because apparently it was "in the oven" was really just some sliced multigrain toast for $10 The "authentic carbonara" had a watery sauce sitting at the bottom. I don't think that is authentic. For some reason the duck was served on one of the exact same salads we already had sitting at our table which would have been good to know when ordering so there wasn’t 2 of essentially the same dish. For a restaurant with such a small menu (only 3 entrees) I found it odd there were repeats. The duck was also dry. The service was a little slow but I believe they were likely understaffed so not really their fault. One thing that stuck out was I asked for a Coke Zero and was told they served "another same cola that was a different brand". I asked if it was sugar free and the server said "yes". I looked at the can and the second ingredient after water was sugar. When I told the server she said "it's cane sugar so it's natural. You don't like it?". I said it tasted ok but I was hoping for something sugar free at which point she just walked away without saying anything lol Since I didn't drink it, it would have been nice if they took the $7 charge off the bill Overall I would not recommend this place

My husband and I were looking for somewhere to stay while waiting for our daughter's camp to finish and went to take a walk at this area in Granville St. This place caught our eye and went to check it out. We were seated right away but we were hoping to eat something for like an early dinner but we were an hour early for dinner menu. We really liked the place and it looks so cozy to spend time with. So, we just tried what's in the sharing menu and guess what..we ended up ordering all of the Sharing Menu. It's like we wanted to try all of it because the first two orders tasted so good. We will try their dinner menu next time for sure. And the mocktails are cherry on top.

This place has so much potential but fell so short this evening. The food is quality, the ambiance is beautiful, but the service that we had tonight was the biggest let down I have ever experienced. When our group sat down and asked about the menu and how it should be enjoyed, our server was unable to explain the menu. They were unable to give us an idea of how many dishes we should be enjoying, how the menu should be ordered, and completely unaware of any dietary restrictions or substitutions on their menu. Sure that may not be a big deal, but during dinner our server completely forgot two dishes and blamed the kitchen on being "late" and forgetting to prepare the food. We only received one of those dishes that the kitchen had supposedly forgotten to make. Everyone in the industry will have challenging nights, but it was even more disappointing to hear that the tables next to us had literally the same experiences of missing dishes and it being blamed on the kitchen. To top it off, when we ordered our second bottle of wine, it took 20 minutes to arrive - after we had finished all of our food. From auctioning off our food at the table, to no drop lines, to forgetting a third of our dinner that evening... it was an extremely frustrating and...
