An absolute gem of a spot we found by total accident by following some groups of people on our way to Kits Beach to watch the celebration of light fireworks. It ended up being the most ideal spot to enjoy the show. Wasn't busy at all compared to the beach at English Bay, but had perfectly uninterrupted views of the fireworks. Seems like a cute, clean spot to visit for a relaxing beach day away from major crowds (when there isn't a special event going on) but still within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants so you can pick up food and bring it on a picnic. Please note that the way we accessed the beach was via a steep set of stairs so it didn't seen accessible for people who use wheelchairs or have difficultly with stairs, but there may be an alternate entrance I'm...

I and my dog love this beach! ❤️ It is an off-leash area where dogs can get in the water. It is usually busy and you can tell dogs are very happy to be here 🐾🐶❤️. Many dogs all sizes are fetching. The actual beach has some gravel and pieces of seashells but you can still walk around barefooted. Once in the water it is more sandy. I walked inside the sea about 30 meters and the water was chest high. I went on the last day of July and the water was very pleasant in a hot day without being freezing. There is an area before the beach that has fine sand which is great to lay down a towel and rest it set up a picnic. On the downside, I didn't see a bathroom, honey bucket or water faucet for people or dogs. I would still strongly recommend to check the beach with your dog...

This is a great beach for dogs. It is doggy heaven and you see all kinds of dogs running around and getting along. Most owners let the dogs lose and they play together. No altercations between dogs just pure play. All dogs go in the water and some chase sticks and return them to their masters so they can repeat the pattern. Happy dogs all around and it is nice to see happy pets and owners.

I saw a dog get mad at its owner because he didn't want to go home. The owner was trying to reason with the dog but the dog kept on biting the leash and pointing it back to the beach. It was funny to see.

If you have a dog and want to give it some quick happiness I suggest Hadden Beach. You won't be...

Don't miss out on this place to spend time however you like, alone or with others. Even if you are just visiting Vancouver, a stroll through this area is a must. There is something about the harmony between energy and calm present at the same time here with beautiful water, open on one side and barricated on the other side by the city skyline that washes away all tireness and boosts your mood for a week. You may walk away from this place after watching the sun set slowly, sometimes the moon and stars slowly appearing - but the place will stay with you for long after.

Review: 4 stars Hadden Beach is a lovely little spot for a relaxing day by the water. It’s not as crowded as some of the other beaches, which makes it perfect for a peaceful outing. The sand is soft, and there’s plenty of space to lay out a blanket and enjoy the sun. It’s also dog-friendly, so it’s great for pet owners. The views are fantastic, especially around sunset, and you can even spot kayakers and paddleboarders on the water. Only downside is that amenities are limited, so be sure to bring what you need. A hidden gem worth visiting if you’re in the area!
