Pure Nail Bar — Attraction in Vancouver

Normally I always read reviews before I try a new salon,restaurant, service etc. but I was walking down main street and figured I would get a quick manicure... read no reviews and I wish I had for this place.

1. I paid $30 for a regular manicure.. lol no shellac, no french tips, nothing. So there's that. 2)Now this was Saturday afternoon, its currently Monday evening and 3 of my nails already have chips on them.. it really looks like I did these nails myself.. it doesn't look professionally done at all. 3)I also had my nails grown out very long and they were clearly shaped in a square/cube like shape on the tips and I explained I wanted to keep this shape.. they are very much round right now and much shorted than I wanted. They don't look square at all, so not sure why I wasted my breath specifying what shape I wanted...

If the manicure was like $15-20 I wouldn't really be complaining... but it was wildly overpriced. I will say the people who work there are nice enough, so I feel bad leaving a bad review.. but I'm being honest. Also they offered the people next to me tea, water, etc. and no one offered me anything when I sat down.. I'm not petty though so that's not part of my 2 stars

I was recently there with some of my friends to get a mani pedi and I have to say this is one of the best places in town so be sure to drop by whenever you have the time . The staff are so friendly and helpful. One of the most reason I am satisfied with this place is the air and environment , the space smelled fresh and clean and I had so many options of colour nails to chose from , I took as much time asking questions as well as choosing the colour and the staff was very patient and did not rush me at all since I was getting ready for a very important meeting, if I have time and my work isn’t so busy I am definitely coming back here again , but surely I will be referring many...

The first couple times I went here, I was beyond happy with the services! Third time, I got a fungal infection on my toenail and some bleeding on my cuticles. Didn't come back for some time. Fourth time, nails were buffed way too thin and I opted for regular polish and not gel...also, got another reg pedicure, not gel, a month ago...and though the last experience was excellent, I realized i was charged for a gel pedicure and not regular the last two times and I always tip 20%. Isn't even worth the battle as I don't want to toss up the chance of another nail or skin injury. Will be switching to another...
