Safety Concern: Reckless Driving by ETS Bus 907

I'm writing to express my concern and disappointment with the reckless driving displayed by ETS Bus 907 on Friday December 27, 2024 around 1:00 pm. My companions and I were walking on the sidewalk near West Edmonton Mall, heading towards the Summerlea community from West Edmonton Transit Center, when the bus sped past us, splashing dirt and icy water onto us.

The bus was traveling from West Edmonton Transit Center to Westmount, and its excessive speed and proximity to the sidewalk posed a significant risk to our safety. As pedestrians, we have the right to feel secure on the sidewalk, and it's unacceptable for a public transportation vehicle to compromise that.

I hope that ETS will take this incident seriously and take necessary actions to address the driver's behavior. This includes providing additional training on safe driving practices and ensuring that drivers are held accountable for their actions.

I request that ETS investigate this incident and take steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Leave it to the city to mess things up royally. What ever possessed the city to want to put the transit center on the north side of the mall. They once again are making things as difficult as possible for everyone. They have created a daily traffic gong show. It is absolutely impossible to get through here at all during busy times. Throngs of people all over the street, busses just barging into traffic whether they have the right of way or not. You are in absolute danger of being run over from any direction at any time. Why in the world didn't they put the terminal on the south side of the mall WHERE THE LRT WILL BE STOPPING DUH! they are already doing construction on that side why not do a little more and put the terminal there where the people getting off the LRT can conveniently connect with their bus??? Nope instead they ruin both east west routes past the mall and make it as difficult as possible for everyone, good going city of Edmonton as if we need more failures related to city planning what a mess this city is. Oh and don't forget they will be digging through your pockets for cash to pay for this and other school of Elmer Fudd projects...

There was a guy who had vodka and was acting like a psychopath.

Was going to say nothing, but he comes up to my friends and starts saying how he wants to kill a guy (he broke into his moms house and gave her the finger).

Only under the assumption that my friends were the ones who did it because "they both had the same haircut and hickeys" but look COMPLETELY DIFFERENT and have DIFFERENT NAMES.

A security guard walked buy us, and all he did was smile, do a handshake (I think), and keep on walking.

Keep on mind, were all underage (14-16), and decided to offer us weed and vodka.

Like my one friend talked for us, while the rest of us stood in a corner (we were in one of those heat shelters) while he sat on a bench.
