I do not recommend this location at all. This is my third time here in the last year and I had written them off after my last experience when I got undercooked calamari. But my Grandpa was craving the seafood fettuccine, so we went. For me, I was pretty much turned off walking in due to the constant ongoing noise level. People actually have to talk so loud just to have a conversation. The hostess had my grandpa walk upstairs when he had a cane and was not moving quickly, it honestly had me baffled. The hostess was walking so quick taking us to our table that I was rushing to stay close to her, so I would know where we sat. She was walking so fast that she left my grandpa in the dust, and there were two hostesses. She must have realized it and that's when I had the extreme displeasure of standing by the restroom waiting for him. The hostess had us walk by the wheelchair accessibility restroom on the main level to get upstairs and it absolutely stunk of urine. I was trying to breathe through my mouth yet I continued to smell it. The smell finally dissipated once we had gone all the way upstairs and around the corner. I also want to draw attention to the fact that I was wearing a dress that was just above my knees but coming down the stairs after dining was a different perspective because when stepping down you're almost standing above the lower dining level, so any kind of a flared shorter skirt or dress could be more revealing than originally thought. Even though the attire is extremely casual here with a display of shorts, tank tops, and flip-flops, Grandpa's meal was drowned in a bland cream sauce and the seafood, rubber shrimp, a couple scallops, and some mussels in addition to a garden salad that was also drowned in dressing. I ordered the chicken with pasta, lemon flavor and capers dish with the french onion soup. The french onion soup should actually be called Bread Soup because the bowl (which was only filled halfway) was croutons on croutons on croutons Any liquid that might have been there (??) was completely absorbed by the croutons. The cheese was cold and lit half baked with literally like 4 half slices of onions. The chicken dish was just chicken schnitzel, the pasta was under baked and had no flavor, even though it was boasting a lemon sauce and capers. The server had to be asked to bring items we had asked for a couple of times so a bit mid in my opinion for service as well. The atmosphere was insanely loud, the din of conversation had to compete the bus people were smashing plates into their bus pans so loud that it was painful to my ears The coffee which is normally good was terrible, it tasted as if they had served us day old coffee. We did not take any food to go. Why bother when it's not very good? We were still hungry after not having finished our meals, so we ordered dessert and ended up having the soggy tiramisu. The cherry on top for me was having to walk by that horrible smelling...

Sorry for the long rant, but I'm a foodie person who want to enjoy the experience On August 7th went with my son, as usual, but this time it wasn't great. Oh the food and drinks, appetizers etc were amazing, but unfortunately our server was wayyyy to pushy. Coming back every 5mins asking if we were ready yet to order, when we first got there I had to use the washroom, unfortunately I'm a Cancer Victim so sometimes I have to go a little bit more often, not to sound gross lol. I just got to the table and she was right there before I even sat down asking what you guys want, I said listen I'd just like to have a look at the menu first you know because I needed to have a non-alcoholic drink, and I got the mojito and it was awesome! So then she comes back in another 5 minutes and we barely had looked at the appetizer menu and don't get me wrong I like efficiency in a restaurant but give your people some time to look it over and just chat for a minute eat a piece of bread you know what I'm saying. So we got our appetizers, starter ceasar salad, triangle mozza bites, both yum! So that by the time she brought it to us, we knew what we wanted to order as a main. Then that was brought to us by somebody else so that gave us a break from her no offense lol. And then not even 5 minutes of us getting our food she was like on top of us again wanted to know how it was going and she even asked us because we had paused did we want boxes to take it home. It was like hey, we're trying to eat here and enjoy ourselves like we normally do when go there, but she ruined the atmosphere of dining and taking our time, make sense?. I don't want to be a whiner....but we've had other servers there who were incredible. So all in all a great evening of food etc, just a bad experience with an over zealous server.....and that was sad and annoying, and yes....I...

I’ll admit, I was a little skeptical about dining at the Old Spaghetti Factory. It’s known as an economical, family-style restaurant, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, my husband convinced me to give it a try, and I’m so glad he did!

We decided to sit at the bar, and it turned out to be the best choice of the night. The bartender who served us was absolutely phenomenal. Not only was he incredibly quick and efficient, but his attention to detail and professionalism stood out. Even with a full bar and constant demand, he made sure we were always taken care of. I honestly wish I had gotten his name because he truly made the experience unforgettable.

Beyond the bartender’s exceptional service, the seamless coordination of the entire team stood out. From the friendly hosts who greeted us to the food runners delivering plates with precision and the management overseeing the entire operation, everyone worked together effortlessly. It was clear this team knows how to handle a high-volume restaurant without sacrificing quality or hospitality.

As for the food, it was classic comfort fare done right. My Chicken Parmesan was perfectly crispy and smothered in just the right amount of marinara and cheese. My husband’s Spaghetti with Classic Meat Sauce was hearty and flavorful—a timeless dish done exactly how it should be.

This visit completely exceeded my expectations. The combination of great food, a well-oiled team, and a bartender who went above and beyond made for a truly memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Also we had a litre of wine and 2 entrees and the bill was under 70 dollars for 2 people!!!...

Navi’s FLAVS review: Food quality: 7/10 Location: 7/10 Atmosphere/cleanliness: 8/10 Value for money: 10/10 Service: 9/10 The Old Spaghetti Factory is a good place to bring your grandparents or a young family with lots of kids. Not a good place for a romantic date. Located inside the West Edmonton mall, it only makes sense to come here for lunch or dinner if you already happen to be at the mall; can get very busy during peak service hours, so be prepared to wait up to 30 minutes in line. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, but dated and a little worn out. Service was great, everyone was friendly and our server was polite and attentive. Endless fresh bread for the table gave us something to nibble on, and our food order came out reasonably quick during a busy dinner rush. Our food was hot and well presented (minus the soup which was pouring over the sides of the bowl into the plates, making a big mess). The food is is what you would expect from a franchise restaurant; don’t expect anything gourmet or mind-blowing. However, portions were generous and at approximately $15-20/person for a 3-course meal, you really can’t go wrong if you’re looking for a safe and affordable place to eat that will satisfy everyone and leave money in your wallet to do some shopping.

This was our first time here and we really enjoyed our meal. Similar to Olive Garden they have free bread and soup/salad with your meal. The bread they have is a sourdough one and we thought it was delicious. They give you garlic butter with it which is nice but a bit light on the garlic. The bread is all you can eat but the free soup or salad is only one per dish which was fine for us. We had the minestrone soup and the garden salad. The soup was actually really good and the salad was normal with Italian dressing. The soup was definitely better. You can pay extra for Caesar salad or french onion soup if you prefer. For the mains we had the steak sandwich and the manicotti with side meatballs. The lunch size manicotti comes with 2 tubes instead of 3 which is still plenty big. This dish was fantastic and would definitely order again. The meatballs were good but nothing too special. The tomato sauce was actually quite good and not too sweet. The steak sandwich was good but nothing too special. The fries however were quite good and crispy. They also have free coffee or tea with the main dish. Also included is a small bowl of ice cream which was really nice. The service was also really good and for the price it was really worth it. Will definitely be back!
