Modo Yoga - has changed my life in so many ways. Gymnast for 14 years - and needed an outlet and a place where physical and mental health were both implemented - and this place has been the most healing, loving , releasing, place to find my zen, which is Modo Yoga!
The instructors - WOWz they go ABOVE AND BEYOND. They are not just yoga instructors, but healers. Theyâre always smiling, always super engaged; and you can tell and feel itâs real. These lovely humans truly care. They even stay way later after yoga practice to talk to anyone who wants to share their current issues, their excitement for life, or anything painful - these wise yogi instructors sure know how to touch a heart, as each one has touched mine in many ways. My first practice, I bawled. Matt Coppens , you were the first instructor I ever took- and you changed my life that day. I cried happy tears. I found my place, I found the place that heals. The place that changed my mental health for the better. I wanna also shoutout the lovely An Vinh Tat, Dillon Cherrett, Victoria Sanders, Adrienne Shum, Devyna Brook, Danielle Loewen, Lorna Parashin, Mackenzie Loewen, Sari Hochman, Sean Weisbroad, Larissa Tamblyn. Each and everyone of you go above and beyond. Have been there to listen to anyone. The love really shines through from each your souls. You are all healers. Making your ancestors proud. You have healed my mental health tremendously.
Oh, and my Butt is massive now. And my waist is much smaller. I came for the healing , and came out looking great and feeling happy again. I love life again and a contribute is a lot to Modo Yoga. Worth every penny!
Lovely Christina and Anastasia - you are true forms of love and light. You each have this presence about you thatâs is SO WELCOMING! Youâre not only extremely helpful with the customers, you take the time of day to interact, make sure the person is doing good- when you girls ask- itâs real. You both truly care about each human who walks thru that door and the fact you both love to put your energy towards the love of yoga, the community, and making each human come in with a smile, and leaving smiling. You are more than humans like I said above, you are healers and have no clue how the chats weâve had have made my day coming into practice!
The company represents with super amazing values and morals. Very proactive about mental health, has many workshops , breath work, meditations, Modo Yoga is a community and itâs been my greatest blessing Iâve put my heart too.

Read moreI used to visit this location and the Waverley one when I was working in Winnipeg. I enjoyed going there mostly, but after they updated their online booking I gave them two tries but that was enough to make a decision that I would never go there again. In all the years I've been practicing, and all the different studies I've been to, this is the only place that has stadium like bookings where you reserve a spot. I feel that defeats the whole purpose of going to yoga, about not having attachment to things and certain spots. I like to go in and pick a different spot every time I practice, but now forced to make that decision before going in. Also, now people who are late comers, can reserve a spot and walk in a minute or two before. Another issue is walking in and realizing that the spot you were forced to reserve beforehand is next to someone that you might not want to practice with. Sorry but this is not the place for me and it's the most backwards, and unyoga studio. I haven't been there since and even let my passes run out because I won't be back to the studio while they continue to have such a...
Read moreI was fortunate to experience a complete reset of my body and mind over the past two weeks. It was a time when I felt worn out from daily life, and my body felt sluggish, perhaps because of the changing seasons. At first, I struggled with what Iâd call a âyoga soreness.â I was using muscles I hadnât used in a while, and walking was especially uncomfortable. Each yoga pose felt unfamiliar and overwhelming in the beginning.
However, amidst the intense practice, there were precious moments when my mind suddenly cleared and I experienced deep focus. It was a time to let go of negative emotions and accept that everything starts from within me.
As time passed, I found myself responding without hesitation when I was told to pull forward more in Downward Dog or press my heels into the floor â I just did it. This is how it happens⊠and it was all possible thanks to the excellent guidance I received. I am truly grateful.
I now feel my body and mind are filled with renewed energy, and I want to express my deep gratitude again to all the instructors who shared their...
