This place? Oh my god. Itâs like a mall from hell. You walk in and itâs immediately depressing. The lightingâs all yellow and gross, like a gas station bathroom, and the whole place smells like a mix of Subway bread and despair.
After 6pm? Forget it. It turns into an episode of Cops. Youâve got drunks wobbling around, people high out of their minds pacing like zombies, and security just standing there pretending they donât see it. I swear to god, Iâve felt safer at bus depots at 3 in the morning.
And the stores? Donât get me started on the stores. What do they even have in there? Itâs like the graveyard of retail. Stores you thought went out of business in 2007 are still somehow clinging on in this dump. You want clothes? Good luck! Youâll find three mannequins from the â90s wearing discount jeans and thatâs it.
Meanwhile, theyâve got the nerve to call it a âshopping centre.â Shopping for what?! Regret? Sadness? Itâs not even a mall itâs just a glorified food court surrounded by boarded-up stores.
You want a real shopping experience? Go to Polo Park. Go to the Outlet Mall. Hell, drive to the Brady Road Landfill. At least there, when you dig through a pile of trash, you might actually find something worthwhile maybe a chair, maybe a toaster. St. Vital? Youâll find nothing but a headache and the urge to go home and...
Read moreSt. Vital Mall is a true gem of Winnipeg, offering an exceptional shopping experience that is both expansive and well-curated. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by its immaculate cleanliness, with every corner thoughtfully maintained, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere for visitors. The mall's vast size is impressive, providing a comprehensive retail landscape that accommodates a diverse range of shops, from luxury brands to popular high-street names.
One of the highlights is the impressive cinema, which adds a touch of entertainment to the shopping experience, making it ideal for a full day out. The inclusion of a Walmart, notably one of the largest I've seen, further elevates the convenience factor, offering everything one could need under one roof.
What truly stood out was the abundance of parking spacesâfinding a spot was effortless, even during peak hours. As a first-time visitor, I was thoroughly impressed with how well the mall is designed to cater to a variety of needs. Without a doubt, I will be returning for future visits. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a top-tier...
Read moreIt is extremely disappointing that St. Vital Centre allows Deco Windshield Repair (the orange tent in the parking lot) to operate here. This company has hundreds of negative reviews across Canada from customers who report ongoing fraudulent credit card charges that last for years after a one-time repair. Many also say Deco repeatedly contacts them by phone afterward, raising concerns about how customer information is being shared.
Consumer protection websites like the Better Business Bureau are filled with alarming complaints about this companyâs chronic and unethical business practices. By giving Deco a platform in their parking lot, St. Vital Centre is effectively endorsing and enabling a business with a nationwide reputation for scamming people.
Why would a reputable shopping centre knowingly continue to partner with such a company when the evidence against them is so overwhelming? It reflects poorly on the mallâs management and respect for its customers.
Until St. Vital Centre stops renting space to Deco, I would caution others to avoid engaging with this business on...
