The pier get re-designed to be no longer a pier, which is a park build onto the water. It can be a prototype for many other public parks build with the old pier such as YaoTong and its nearby areas.

Together with Murray House, the pier make Stanley a great place to explore in HK. It is not a very big place but you have to admired the pain it takes to move the pier to it current location.
