Went to the hot café at Stanleywhich is famous for their baked food. @paneelattehk is new restaurants in the @piratagrouphk @piratahk , which I knew when I was there seeing the staff wearing the mask of Pirata haha. It is actually an Italian bakery serving artisan breads, pastries, cakes, pizzas, sandwiches, gelato, Italian coffee and wines~
Love the gorgeous design where many girls are taking photo at their shop front. The floor-to-ceiling windows cloaked in transparent drapes and arches, together with the terracotta floor tiles, and also the wooden furniture, striped cushion and sofa in pastel colour make me fascinated.
The glass display of the baked goods and pastries makes me mouthwatering. There are too many choices of baked goods which make me really hard to pick because I want them ALL!
We end up chose the following:
🍕Capricciosa It is an Italian pizza with cooked ham, semi-dry tomato, oregano, artichoke, taggiasche, olive and buffalo mozzarella. It is sandwich like that the pastries are on the top and the bottom while the ingredients are in the middle layer. Love the melty mozzarella cheese together with all the ingredients which enrich the taste!
🍫Dark chocolate bomboloni Bomboloni is an Italian donut The dark chocolate bombolini comes with chocolate dressing on top with chocolate flakes and brownies. Chocolate cream filled in the spongy donut. I really love this and I have bought some home as well
🧀Double mascarpone cheesecake There are two layers of the cheesecake – baked mascarpone and the rare cheese cake mousse. Cookie powder is pouring all over the cheesecake as the outer layer. It grasps the perfect balance of cheese and the cookies.
I truly enjoy my afternoon tea there with delicious food in the relaxing café ☀️
P.S. the waiters are so sweet that they offer cold water for us when we are...
Read moreI was thrilled to try this newly opened Italian bakery by pirata group, finally got to try it on a sunny Sunday! ☀️
This beautiful pink and creamy yellow panetteria located in Stanley village right next to the sea, is like a little vacation to Amalfi Coast. The interior is absolutely stunning, and I was so tempted by their beautiful pastries counter, and the gelato counter at the basement.
I arrived Stanley by around 3pm, and the queue outside pane evlatte was quite long … suggested by @annieatsalot that I should go inside to grab some take outs/gelato first and come back later.. good idea! (You can just walk in if you wanna grab takeouts only) so my hub just stay in line outside, and I walked in to buy some takeouts.. guess what.. while I was waiting in line to pay for my takeouts, my hub told me he got seat already.. it was like around 20mins I guess? (It actually takes some time to buy takeouts too, it was crowded and is difficult to decide what to buy from this extensive choices 😂) but at least u don’t have to wait under this crazy sunlight.
Anyways, lucky! We ordered steak and eggs and truffle croissant from the menu, also got the lemon bomboloni, crispy roll pistachio, and coppa from the counter. Everything was pretty good, nothing seems extremely amazing, but all up to standard. Especially the truffle croissant with scramble egg, eggs were so smooth and truffle was so fragrant, yummy.
And don’t forget to go downstairs to the basement to check out the gelato counter, featuring different flavours everyday, I got Tiramisu this time, perfect ending for this hot summer!
Tips: try to come after 4pm to avoid the crazy queue, or just come after 6pm in evening, they...
Read moreI am a big pirata fan but gotta say this is not their best restaurant, so not sure why there is such a hype about it.
Environment - Location was good. Went on a weekday so there was no queue. It was Tranquil and the ambience was relaxing overall. Nice decorations and a nice take on the bakery feel. Nothing to complain about.
Service - staff were friendly as the usual pirata standard however they might need some better training or system. They missed one of our orders and we were just sitting there waiting. We were told to order ice cream downstairs and once we ordered, we were told to go back upstairs to pay and get our own spoon which wasnt very organised. They might be still finding their feet since they only opened not long ago. It wasn’t understaffed or very busy, but we had to ask multiple times and only after a long time, we could get some water. A lot of busy work, but not a lot of action.
Food was disappointing (or maybe we just had high expectations for pirata). We ordered a prosciutto sandwich (can only taste the saltiness), an eggs Benedict (the bread wasnt toasted, the hollandaise sauce lacked the acidity flavor), hazelnut doughnut was average. The Ice cream was huge and better to share between 4 people. The ice cream is a bit overpriced in my opinion for what it is as the decorative chocolates just tasted cheap and soft serve was overly sweet however the gelato at the bottom was nice.
Have to say overall it wasnt the most pleasant experience. The manager was aware of the restaurant’s issues and tried to remedy it which was nice. Hoping to see some improvements in the near future so we can come back and try when they are up and...
